Red Rock Pass

ATV traffic along the access road creates intermittent noise throughout the day at this free dispersed camping area within Targhee National Forest. The site accommodates both RVs and car campers, with existing fire pits already established despite current fire restrictions. Recent visitors report finding space easily among the scattered camping spots.

Cell service reaches the area, and campers can bring pets and alcohol without restrictions. The Forest Service manages this drive-in location where Targhee Forest Dispersed Camping sits less than a mile away for additional dispersed options. Car campers particularly find success here, though the road noise from recreational vehicles may affect light sleepers.

Pleasant off road woody area

Camped here for that past two nights. There was 5 camper vans and two cars. Us being in a car, we easily found a spot. Can be a tad noisy with atvs driving down the road. There was even fire pits but it did say no fires.
