Within Challis National Forest, Tin Cup provides a US Forest Service campground that operates from July through September. The site sits near both creek and river water sources, making it accessible during the brief high-country season when snow clears from the surrounding terrain.

Located over 25 miles from Stanley, this established campground requires advance planning for supplies and fuel. The forest service manages the site with basic facilities typical of backcountry locations. Campers should prepare for variable mountain weather and pack layers, as elevations in this part of Idaho can produce sudden temperature drops even during summer months.
