Robert E Lee Campground

Within Boise National Forest, Robert E Lee Campground operates as a US Forest Service facility with drive-in, hike-in, and walk-in access options. The campground contains four sites positioned close together, though one reviewer noted the sites appear overgrown without notable features. Campfires and alcohol are permitted throughout the facility.

Access involves forest roads leading to the camping area, where sites near Boise National Forest provide alternatives for forest camping. The nearby North Fork Boise River runs through the area, offering water access opportunities for campers willing to explore beyond the immediate campground boundaries. The facility works best for groups comfortable with basic forest camping conditions and minimal site separation.

Unremarkable head East over the bridge.

Head a few minutes East to Alexander Flat Rd and N Fork Boise River. First spot on the left when you cross the bridge. That spot is awesome! Fire pit, creek access at the site, and no neighbors. I fell asleep to the rushing water. The REL site has 4 spots that are close together and they're all overgrown without anything cool. I would not come back to REL but I would return to the other one.
