I stayed off of King Rd. which was accessible using a regular. I would take a truck if I did it again. Not a bad place to camp out at if you're heading to Yuma. It was free. No bathrooms and no water. Had a fire because it gets cold in February. There were many RV's in the area with plenty of room. Looks like people take their dirt bikes around those parts.

This is a good basecamp for The Badlands 1hr 20mins away, hence 2 stars. It's a park just outside a rodeo arena and across the street from a neighborhood. No water, no bathrooms, no showers, or fire rings. It's easy to get to and easy to find. I got here on a Sunday when it was empty. The spots are pretty close together so there's no privacy. There is no body of water here so the profile pic is misleading. I would only come back here bc it's free and if I was in another pinch.

Maybe it existed once. There is a field of sunflowers on one side and a fenced in grassland on the other. I don't think anybody would appreciate someone hopping the fence or sleeping in the sunflowers. I would not come back here.

I've been to this campground several times. It's one of my favorites. I go in March/April so the stream has plenty of water to drink. It is a challenging hike if you have a heavy pack. However, there is a utility road you can take that would make it 100% easier. No water facet but there is a toilet. I have woke in the morning to deer on several occasions. I will come back here.

It's more RV and equestrian focused but you can tent camp as well. Large grassy areas to set up camp. Fire pits, showers, bathrooms. Seems popular as well. Making reservations would be a good idea. I stayed at spot 31. It's at the end of the road that goes downhill. There are lots of flies because it has horse corrals and the mosquitos are vicious. They may be different at other spots. Nice spot for views and hiking. I would come back here.

This area is beautiful and a nice place if you have an RV or a boat to launch. I didn't stay here but I gave it three stars because the app says I have to give it a rating. It has some sort of clubhouse/store, showers, and bathrooms. Popular campsite as most spots were full when I pulled in. I would come back here.

I showed up here at night and there was nothing. No lights or anything. I got back on the 90E. and found a rest stop to park and sleep. The good thing about this place is there were restrooms. I would not come back here.

There is a toilet and that's about it. Everything is overgrown. I would not come back here.

I originally went to the South Steens family Campground to find a site and it was full. I went over to the equestrian campsites even though I didn't have any horses. It worked out just fine. The campsites are close together so there isn't much privacy. It is August and they are not allowing campfires. They have restrooms and a well house to get water from. The skies were clear and I was able to get a glimpse of the meteor shower. I've never seen stars like that it was really nice. This is a good base camp to go to Wildhorse Lake for a quick hike. It's 2 1/2 miles long but worth it. I would come back here.

I would go back if I'm ever here again. The drive back there takes a little while and the roads are narrow. Cows all over the town. The historical buildings date back to the 1890's and earlier. I talked to a local and he said the town is on a historical register. Feels like I took a time machine back to the old west. Check out the cemetery and the mine shafts behind the church. All the streets are public land so you can wander around, just don't stare into people's windows. Hard to believe people live there. People stay there as a summer cabin thing. The camping is not secluded at all. Lots of cows in town. There may be poop at your campsite. I didn't drink the creek water. I don't know if it's safe, so but err'd on the side of caution due to the towns mining history.

Head a few minutes East to Alexander Flat Rd and N Fork Boise River. First spot on the left when you cross the bridge. That spot is awesome! Fire pit, creek access at the site, and no neighbors. I fell asleep to the rushing water. The REL site has 4 spots that are close together and they're all overgrown without anything cool. I would not come back to REL but I would return to the other one.
