    Beautiful Boise National Forest

    River front property

I love this area so very much. It’s next to the river, with little beaches. We are near 4 natural hot springs!! Yes there is a road next to the campsite, but we are down a little slope. If you want to be away from that move up higher. Maybe 10/15 cars a day. It’s gravel. The dust from the road doesn’t hit us. Rangers are so nice. Don’t over stay your 14days. This is a perfect group spot with 4 different fire pits and sites

    Snake River RV Resort

    Nice, Relaxing

I really can't add much more about this place except that I felt relaxed, enjoyed the grass, shade, views and staff friendliness. The other reviews provide all the plusses I would have stated. I added some pictures that hadn't been shared yet.

    Riverside RV Park

    Small, Open, City-Owned

While staying at another Homedale-local RV park, I found this park while exploring the town. There weren't any reviews, so I thought I'd help out and at least provide some basic information. There are about 10 pull-through sites and a couple back-in sites. All of them have water and 30/50 service. There's a dump station on site for a donation of $5. The site fee is signed as $25/night; it seems that self-registering is the only way, as it also appears to be on a first-come basis. There is a single building with restroom/shower for men & women. Not especially clean though. No laundry, but I saw a laundromat in town. The entire park is gravel, no shade. There's a public road along the river, between the river and Park. It also appears that the riverfront and boat launch are public, and not under any control of the park itself. The City park next door is a gem! Not much shade, but the grass is green and inviting. While I was there, I saw someone throwing Frisbee into baskets mounted on posts throughout the park. Next to the park is the (presumably) high school football/track stadium. I imagine the entire area, from the riverfront, the RV park, stadium and parking lots are all City-owned. I didn't see any camp host, manager or maintenance person, but there were two rigs on site that hadn't moved in a while. If it's City owned, a possibility for questions and issues might be City Hall, in town (3-minute drive from park).

    River Haven RV Park

    Never Heard Back From Them

I thought I'd give this place a try, even though there were no reviews. From the pics on the website, it seemed like worth a chance. I called using the number on The Dyrt, but it wasn't a working number. I got on the campground website, found a different number to call (they don't take reservations online) and it was answered by a machine which directed me to use their email to send them an 'ask,' showing my interest in staying there. They were supposed to respond with an application for me to complete and send back in, for their approval. It's been two days and I haven't received a response from them. Lots of hoops to park for a few nights! Good luck to anyone else who tries.

    Boise National Forest Antelope Campground

    Antelope camping - Cowabunga!

Sage hen Reservoir takes a bit to get to- nice but narrow dirt roads for about 12 miles. Lots of camping spots available both in campgrounds and dispersed. Lots of momma cows with calf. Drive up on the gorgeous Payette River with lots of camping on the river as well.

    River Pond Campground

    Not what I thought…

Website photos don’t match the actual property. The main RV sites are just inside the entrance, close together in a U shape. Electric was fine and there is a community potable hose to fill up upon arrival. Behind there are a bunch of tent sites in the trees which were occupied by drunk partygoers all weekend. Needless to say quiet time wasn’t a thing. No bugs and temperatures were in the 80s so pleasant. The owner was nice to chat with… Was it worth 35/night, plus extra for cars to come visit during the day? Hmmmmm There are only so many campgrounds with hookups in the area so they have the market cornered.

Also, you can hear the theater nearby at night - that was fun!

    KOA Boise Meridian RV Resort

    Love it Here!

We're permanent residents here because we love this place! The staff are wonderful, friendly, and work hard to keep this place as lovely as it is. In the clubhouse you can play pool, watch tv, swim in the pool or lounge in the jacuzzi. There's also a wonderful kitchen where you can reserve the room for a get-together-an island to prepare, plenty of frig space and lots of tables set up in a 1950's theme!   You can hear the speedway from where we live, and you can hear a train off in the distance.  We love that community feeling we have here, and can afford the price. Cheers to KOA! May you stay just as you are!   Oh yeah, there are plenty of places for one-nighters so they can enjoy all the nearby amenities- So many restaurants and burger joints, and other businesses right nearby!
