Sitting at a trailhead in Clearwater National Forest outside Avery, Idaho, Isabella Point Trailhead gives hikers a practical base for exploring the surrounding trail network. Campsites are positioned directly at the trailhead. A single vault toilet on-site adds a basic level of comfort. The campground is free and open year-round, though access can be difficult in the off-season. Note that pets are not permitted. Dog Creek Camp sits roughly two miles southwest for those traveling with animals.
Description
The Isabella Point Trailhead serves as the beginning to trail 95 which connects to trail 399, taking hikers/stock on a journey into the spectacular Mallard Larkins Pioneer Area. Two campground units are located at the trailhead.
