Open and park-like, River Junction Campground sits within the Seminole Recreation Area on Lake Seminole, managed by the Army Corps of Engineers on a first-come, first-served basis. Sites are gravel-padded with electric and water hookups, and three or four pull-throughs accommodate larger rigs. No pets are allowed. Cell service runs thin at one to two bars on Verizon, and boat traffic passes through to the launch, so expect some movement through the campground. Anglers have direct water access, though swimming is not permitted. January visits see few insects and light crowds; bring an interagency pass to reduce the nightly rate.
