Great for hiking and cave exploring

The area is amazing. The roads are open and long and winding. Right in the middle of the woods, the campground is awesome and very clean. There are trails directly off of the site and even caves. Underground caves. I couldn’t believe it but such a great experience. Only downside is there is no showers.

Google trail 22 and peace caves to find them.

So beautiful

Lots of things; lots of history, even several caves in the citrus part of the withlacoochee forest. Google trail 22 for the closest entrance.

Great primitive camping

In the middle of the state forest. Lots of cool things nearby such as wildlife areas, springs, crystal river, Ocala...

Definitely don’t expect to have service once you’re off the road!!
