Took us last minute. Very friendly and accommodating. Clean bathroom facilities
Great location, decent size campsites. Right in the middle of Croom Motorcycle Area and trail access for OHV is 10ft from out campsite.
Bathrooms aren’t heated so can be cold at night.
Amazing view of the stars at night
Expect to hear dirt bikes and ATVs all day if you camp here.
Cheap, reservable, on the water - awesome spot!
Only one group spot available to reserve through the state forest. Primitive spot - no water, electric or showers. One vault toilet.
Reserve through state forest.
Picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Some sites have small corrals adjacent.
Only 4 sites!!
Reserve through state forest. 6 primitive sites!
Right on the water. Great location, easy access everywhere. Waterfront RV sites.
RVs only. Summer rates, winter rates, annual rates, seasonal rates, and mobile homes. On Gandy Blvd in St Pete you can- take Gandy bridge in order to get to Tampa in 15-20 minutes. Bus stop also near.
Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts, 24 Hr. Bathhouse/ Pavilion/ Clubhouse, Billiard Room, Shuffleboard, Volleyball, Pickleball, Horseshoes, bocce ball, Coin Laundry, 30/50 Amp Electric, Water& Sewer.
Wasn’t sure what it was so I checked it out. Looks super fun. Would have loved this as a kid. Scuba & sailing.
In Palmetto, easy access to Tampa, Sarasota, Gulf Beaches, and many other areas of Florida in a few hours driving distance.
Pet-friendly.
Pet-friendly, two campground areas - one beachside and one riverside.
Love this area. Beautiful, quiet beach town.
The park rangers/campground check-in were super friendly.
Bathroom was spectacularly clean.
My new favorite spot.
Only accessible by water! Next to honeymoon island state park and just south of anclote
Boat camping ONLY — tents/Rvs are not permitted.
First come/first serve boat slips, pet friendly (yay for dogs)
Anclote Key is an awesome spot for primitive camping — but you can only get there by water access! Depending on the weather and the tides/current, the may shut down camping, or you may want to go by boat (not paddle/kayak). Make sure to have everything you need, too, especially bug spray — the mosquitos (among other bugs) are insane during the summer.
Must make reservation online for camping permit.
One of my favorite places to camp in Florida, hands-down. You can only get to this camping spot by water. Must reserve, no pets & no alcohol.
We saw sting rays, a baby turtle, many different birds & other wildlife within 5 minutes of parking the boat.
Amazing views.
Campfires not permitted in summer months due to sea turtle nesting.
State park springs access with primitive camping (paddle access), kayak/canoe rentals, and nature hiking trails
Great little spot in Kelly Park with access to Rock Springs
Unfortunately the springs were closed due to COVID, but Wekiwa Springs is down the road so we were able to check that out!
No pets allowed either which is another downside
Well-kept and maintained, friendly staff, and nice restrooms.
Not a lot of space between campsites - you won’t get that “primitive” camping feel, but the site is a decent size
