TravelerNot many people here which is surprising. The actual parking spots are no frills but has everything you need. Good location. Found it easy to find and easy to set up. Pool is small but adequate. Washer and dryers are small but function nicely. Nice, new gym. There’s a pond and does have gators and turtles to watch.
RangerWe only stayed here for one night, but it’s a really nice little campground built around a large pond. Everything is well maintained, and there are some lovely covered seating areas right by the water where you can relax. The host was very friendly as well. The only downside to this campground is that there are no showers and no direct water hookup at the campsites. Other than that, it’s a really lovely and enjoyable place to stay.

TravelerMy family and I have stayed at this historic campground for over 50 years. It is a taste of old florida , with sandy streets and very few streetlights . Several wonderful bath houses and half a mile bike ride to the beach . Sanibel has many miles of bicycle paths ( class 1 only ). And many on the island bicycle . This is a wonderful campground .

GuideThis is an over 55 resort. It was demolished in the last hurricane so they have been trying to rebuild. Everything is new, well landscaped, heated pool, very small dog park, paved roads and sites are gravel with cement patios. No picnic tables or fire pits as of yet. They are building homes for resale in half of the park. Land lease is $3k and once they get 10 homes there will be an HOA fee. They provide maintenance and internet. Camping, if you stay over 30 days you are responsible for electric. It’s a real pain in the butt to get hooked up and then cancel it. I believe they also require a written contract. It was disorganized confusion when we arrived but I think it’s getting to be a well oiled machine now. They have group parties and the manager, Charlie is very nice and helpful. She put out a lot of fires upon our arrival. It started out with maybe 4 RV’s and now it’s full. Sites are large and not close to your neighbors. Paved streets inside the resort are great for walking. It’s in the heart of Ft Myers and beach. Great location.
RangerWe were here from December- February 8. When we first arrived we were not happy. No amenities after being told they would all be up and running. After a couple of weeks everything was running. The campground is quiet, very clean, nicely spaced even for big rigs. Pool is heated and clean. Brand new W&D’s. What we weren’t told in the beginning we were not told that if you stay over 30 days you’re responsible for the electric. It was a big pain to set that up just FYI.

TravelerThere are several different loops. Loops A is for tents, but we saw several small camper vans and a pop up. Loops B is made up of 3 loops, and the center loops site are close together. You get to know your neighbors. There are fire rings and if the wind blows it can fill your camp with your neighbors smoke. The main bath house is currently under repair. There are bathroom shower trailers. There are washer and dryer 3 pairs.
