Awesome park with very friendly rangers

We stayed for a quick 24 hour trip on our way down to the keys. Kayaking was great and the campsite was perfect and private. There is lots of wildlife present so be sure to secure all food 😬 Would definitely stay again for more than one day as there is so much to do/see!

Great Value

The staff wears great! Very helpful and quick to fix any issue. Our electric did not work at our site so we moved. They had someone out the next morning to fix it. Very well lit at night with security. The RV park is located in the back of the county park, so there is plenty to do: water park,…

Great bike trails!

Yacht Haven Marina is an excellent place to camp!

This park and the people who run it are awesome! If you camp on the canal, chances are you will be right next to some amazing yachts! 7 minutes to Ft Lauderdale Beach and 7 minutes the other way to Seminole Hard Rock Casino Hollywood! We will be going back!

Very Friendly Park Staff

This is an older campground with a lot of full-time RVers. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and will do whatever they can to make you satisfied. This is a campground in the middle of the city, so don’t expect a lot of quiet, as this is how it is in a city. We spent 14 months here…

Great place to spend Christmas

Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Spent 7 nights but in 3 different sites as over Christmas. This felt like a proper FL holiday. Easy access to the beach, great biking in the park. Lots of great coffee and places to grab food nearby with a sidewalk for…

Big Park. Big Surprise.

This park was potentially one of our biggest surprises of any Florida State Park!

I’ve actually driven past the entrance to this park more times than I can count, but had never ventured in nor made the time for a special trip across the state to visit until this trip. What a surprise with…

Great State Park, bring your bikes

What a great experience, very clean, our site #4 was very private and with lots of space. There is so much to do, bike trails, hike hobe mountain, kayaks, boat tours, nature trail hikes. And if you take a short drive out of the park you are at the beach. It’s a large park so we drove to the kayak…

Better Than Google Earth

I looked up this campground on Google Earth to see what it was like here. It looked like a flat area with close sites near a busy highway. Was pleasantly surprised that the scrub around the sites is tall making sites more private that the view from Google.  This park has paved loops with gravel…

Love this park

There’s not a lot of shade, but it’s an amazing place to go. There are many trails for walking and for biking. Great division of space between your spot and the neighbor. Has a fire pit, BBQ and picnic table for each spot. Sunset views are amazing. Felt very comfortable with my kids.
