Many campers appreciated the intimate 11-site waterfront setting with concrete pads and exceptional host service. Limited amenities with no restrooms or showers, but valued as affordable Keys option.

Great customer service

I inquired if they had a availability, and although they did not, they gave me a list of several other places to call. They could’ve easily said, “sorry, no availability,” like everyone else, but they went above and beyond to help me. I wish I could give them my business. Maybe next stay. Thank you!

No amenities, stinky in June

This resort is all about the water views. However, in the summer the sea grass and jellyfish pile up to leave an awful smell.

There are no amenities here unlike Boyd’s campground which looked fun. You’re coming to El Mar for the quiet with only 11 sites. Important note: there is no turnaround in this campground!! The sites are big but if you’re the last one in, your back in to your site will be tricky.

Small, Clean and Close to Downtown

Stayed here one night. There are only 11 sites with full hook ups, no showers, restrooms, laundry or WiFi, but you can get spots right on the water. They are strict with the rules there which isn't a problem, just a heads up for those disrespectful people who do not clean up after their dogs and those with inadequate sewer hook ups on their rigs. We were told they were recently fined for such behavior from visitors with is sad and that there are cameras to keep a closer eye on things. Chris and Fiona were very nice. It's a quick bike ride into downtown Key West.

Good cell reception with AT&T and Verizon.

Beautiful campground

I love the size of it only holds about 11 campers which in my opinion is perfect. we were right on the water with a peaceful ocean breeze to keep us cool all the spots were concrete slabs which made it nice for tables and getting in and out of the camper without bringing dirt in. The hostess gave us plenty of recommendations to go see that wasn’t so touristy I would absolutely recommend staying here

Near Key West

The keys in general is an expensive place to visit especially in the Winter so it’s great that there’s an option to stay in a less expensive place. If Boyd’s campground is full this is a good back up. It’s not super big so spots fill up quick in season. They have 5 non waterfront spots $115/night in season and $90/night off season. The waterfront spots are $125 and $100/night. They do have monthly rates that give a great discount. They also have a boat dock available for $10/day.
