Description
Sugarloaf Mountain's western flanks in Roosevelt National Forest rise above a rocky 4x4 track at roughly 8,480 feet, offering open views across the surrounding peaks and quiet skies after dark. Established fire pits and room for multiple parties make it a practical base, with the Sugarloaf Trail accessible virtually from camp. The access road is rough and rutted — high-clearance is a real advantage, though determined low-clearance drivers have made it in slow and steady.
