Accessed via Highway 72, Gordon Gulch Dispersed Camping II sits on the southeast side of a forested ridge in Roosevelt National Forest, roughly an hour from Denver. The access road is moderately rocky with some steeper grades but manageable for crossovers and small SUVs. Sites run large enough for a few tents or a small to medium trailer. ATVs are common here, and on Friday evenings the area fills quickly, though crowds tend to thin by Saturday morning. Cell service is spotty on the west side of the ridge but more reliable to the east. No pets are allowed. Gordon Gulch Dispersed Camping Area sits about a mile west for campers wanting a different configuration, and campgrounds around Nederland provide additional options in the area.
