Description
We feel fortunate to own 13 acres on the Arkansas River. The property is gated with no public access. The campsites have really nice views in all directions. Some of the river, some of different Collegiate Peaks and some with really nice views of Mt. Elbert. People visit every Summer from all around the World to take a Crack at climbing Colorado’s tallest Mountain. (3rd tallest in the U.S.) About 1/2 mile away from our property is the Famous Colorado trail that runs from Denver to Durango. The beautiful Arkansas River is one of the most popular destinations in the U.S. for White Water Rafting. It also happens to be an extremely popular “Gold Medal” Trout Fishery.
There are local music festivals, art festivals, bike races, donkey races and much, much more!
If you are hoping to escape the summer heat!!! You will love the cool, crisp, clean air we have to offer. (No AC needed.) We are just East of the Continental Divide at approx. 9600 Ft. above Sea level. The Summer highs average from 67-74 degrees and it feels very exhilarating. However, it can be “chilly at night sometimes dipping close to freezing. Be prepared to wear layers for rapid temperature changes.
