Accessible via graded dirt roads, this dispersed camping area sits at approximately 10,000 feet elevation near Twin Lakes. The small site accommodates RVs up to 30 feet and offers room for roughly 7-8 vehicles in tight configurations. Level spots work for rooftop tents, while areas with more tree coverage provide additional privacy from the mostly open terrain.
Cell service reaches the area, and campfires are permitted. Reviewers note weekend noise can be an issue, with some groups using the accessible location for late-night gatherings. Hikers use this as a staging point for nearby peaks like La Plata. Parry Peak Campground offers a more structured alternative just half a mile west.
