Great dispersed campsite

It's a great dispersed campsite! It has an amazing view of Twin Lakes and the nearby mountains. There are many spots near the road but if you have a 4WD you drive a little further and get an amazing spot.

Tends to get crowded in the summer but have always found a spot. Currently in 2026 campfires are no longer allowed during the summer.

Rough entry but great view of lake

Traversed rough patch in van but had many choices for flat spots amidst trees. Rustic. No pit toilets that I’ve seen. Fire rings, but ban against using them presently. Quiet mid-week.

Rugged and Stunning

This is right off the road and winds back between the trees. Some spots can be accessible by low clearance vehicles but others require higher clearance. I parked my car and walked to a site I liked. The sites aren't perfectly flat but the one I used worked well enough for. my single person tent. The views were stunning. Definitely stick around for sunset and sunrise.
