No access to BLM

No access to BLM if following directions based on coordinates listed. I’m unfamiliar with the area so I know no other way to access it. It’s 11pm and I have to start all over finding a spot for the night. With 3 sleepy kids in tow 😒.

What are the rules and regulations for Durfield dispersed camping?

As a BLM dispersed camping area, Durfield generally follows standard BLM regulations: camping is typically limited to 14 days within a 28-day period, practice Leave No Trace principles by packing out all trash, and maintain a reasonable distance from water sources (usually 200 feet). Fire regulations vary seasonally, so check current fire restrictions before your visit. Always use existing fire rings when allowed. Respect neighboring campers by keeping noise to a minimum, especially during evening hours. Contact the managing BLM office for current and specific regulations.

Where is Durfield dispersed camping located and how do I access it?

Durfield BLM Boondocking is located on Bureau of Land Management property, but visitors should be cautious about relying solely on coordinates for access. There have been reported difficulties with navigation using the listed coordinates, especially for those unfamiliar with the area. It's recommended to obtain detailed directions from the local BLM office before your trip and have backup camping options prepared, particularly if arriving after dark. Consider arriving during daylight hours to make finding this dispersed camping area easier.

What activities are available near Durfield dispersed camping?

For more structured activities, check with the local BLM office about nearby points of interest, established trail systems, or seasonal events that might enhance your stay.

Are there any amenities or facilities at Durfield dispersed camping?

Durfield BLM Boondocking is a true dispersed camping experience with no developed amenities or facilities. There are no toilets, potable water, trash services, or hookups available.
