Very peaceful and clean campground at a low price

We stayed here for one night while passing through. The price is very low at $8. The pit toilets are extremely clean and the campground is super clean. The campsites are very large and have a Pavillon but offer only a little privacy. There is potable water available via a hand pump, but I don't recommend drinking it as there were small particles in the water. We didn't see a camp host. Overall, it's a perfect campground for 1-2 nights for very little money.

Spring camping

Few campers at the grounds made this a nice, quiet place to stay for the night. The sites are spacious, but many of the sites wouldn’t have much privacy if all spots were full. Site 19 was nice near the back with tree canopies over the picnic area.

Low on amenities but high on solitude and beauty

Bradfield is a very nice BLM managed campground. Set down in the canyon of the Dolores River below McPhee Reservoir. Campground has 17 improved campsites with picnic tables and fire pits. There is one hand pump for fresh water. No electric or dump station. $8.00 per night.

Dolores River Canyon is absolutely beautiful. The river is crystal clear and there is resident trout swimming about. Fishing is allowed but some stretches are catch and release. The canyon surrounds the campground so light pollution is blocked and the night sky is wonderful.

We stayed here for 5 nights in our 5th wheel. Highly recommend this campground!!
