The Views RV Park & Campground

Don’t let the dilapidated mobile home near the entrance scare you away. This place is super well maintained. Every site is well thought out and has great hookups. I thought a plug water and sewer was pretty uniform. Our site had a pedestal with 20/30/50 amp and then another with 30 20 feet further into the site. Lots of shade. The sites along the south edge of the property have amazing views of the Cortez valley and Sleeping Ute Mountain. Really nice communal fire pit, dog park and some trails too. Some sites have a beautiful brick fire ring too.

Attention to detail over the top the owners obviously want to deliver and experience that is hard to beat. Cleanliness like a new house.

This campground is great! This was our second time here on a road trip from MD thru CO. We only spent one night here so we could ride Phil's world. We normally camp at state parks, but this is a great private campground. The sites are spacious and the campground is quiet. The bathrooms are super clean! Wish we had more time there. The camp cat was so cute.

Very nice, quite and clean with large sites

A very personal campground, where the owners clearly have put their personal touch on making this a great stay for their guests. You even get escorted to your site! All facilities are new and clean, a great place to recharge. You can rent SUP boards to bring to the reservoir.

Awesome staff and owners on premises. Love the sites as they are nice and spacious with sail canvas for shade on some sites. Trails around and views galore. Close to Mesa Verde National Park and close to Dolores which has tons of hiking! Will visit again soon!

Great campground in SW Colorado. The owners Matt and his wife run a beautiful operation. An RV park with class. Sites are huge with lots of shade, bathrooms immaculate, and a nice mile hiking path. Views are good from most lots

We stayed in the “primitive” glamping tent, and were completely thrilled. The bed was comfy, the tent kept us dry during storms, and we had room to entertain our friends. We cooked out in the pavilion twice, used the laundry room and showers, and all were great. Best of all, Matt & team were so kind and accommodating. We wouldn’t have left if we didn’t have to, and we can’t wait to visit again!

We stayed here last year in early August. Great views, wide spaces, super clean park, ultra clean restrooms and showers. Across the highway from a large lake. Close to many many Native American Ruins all part of Canyon of The Ancients. We are going back for a weeks stay late July early August 2021. Put this park on your bucket list.

Lovely Campground! Scenic views and very clean park! Bathrooms are cleaner than mine at home. Laundry Facilities nice. Great community outdoor kitchen area. Glamping tents looked nice and positioned for fantastic views. Owners were very nice and Bentley the cat was a friendly mascot! Great sleeping here!

Easily one of my favorite sites I have stayed at in Colorado! It is an incredible set up for tent camping. The pads are well manicured with very fine rock and very level. The bathrooms and laundry facility are A+, they are located right next to the tent sites. You will be hard pressed to find a more peaceful campground, I can’t wait to be back!

This park is very well-kept and the views are amazing. Most sites are huge (center sites alittle close together) and they offer full hookup, pull thru, and back-in sites. There are trees for shade. Owners are onsite and extremely friendly and professional. There are modern, private restrooms with shower, toilet, and sink as well as a larger restroom with multiple stalls and private showers. There is a beautiful covered pavillion with great views, gas grills, gas fire pit, and picnic table that is available for anyone to use. They have glamping tents, laundry, and propane onsite. Tons to do nearby including the reservoir, Mesa Verde, and much more. Delores (10 min) is a smaller town with nice dining and shops. Cortez (15 min) has all modern amenities including Walmart, chain stores, and grocery. Park is very quiet and friendly. Nearby gas and diesel available. Beautiful and top notch...they even rake the gravel sites between guests! Highly recommend! Our favorite campground to date!

I car camped here on my way back to Texas from Oregon as I wanted bathroom facilities and had hoped for a campfire. The grounds were really nice, and the owner was very friendly upon checking in. The bathroom and shower facilities were very nice and clean.

My only disappointment was over the lack of a fire ring at the campsites. I did see pop up fire pit kits in the office/store but assumed they were for sale... maybe they can be rented or borrowed? There was a stack of firewood near my campsite. If I'd been staying longer than one night, I'd have asked.

I think my gravel pad was slightly off-level but it was minor, and didn't impact my ability to sleep comfortably in the back of my 4Runner.

The site was very quiet, although there was occasional road noise from the nearby highway but nothing that was truly bothersome.

We loved this place! A bit off the beaten path, but the people and the views are great. Really nice campground with spacious spots. The only downside was that the service (AT&T and Verizon was pretty spotty). We will definitely be back!

Currently on day 3 of our 5 day stay. From out east, rented an RV for a month, and have landed at The Views. This place is worth every star. It’s quiet. Camp sites are well maintained. Trees everywhere for shade and privacy. The views looking out over the valley could be a hundred miles into the horizon. The Milky Way is so clear it looks like a cloud. There are new, immaculate bathrooms and showers I’m not afraid to use because they’re spotless. Laundry room is a bonus. My favorite part is a perfect single track trail that circumnavigates what seems like 20 acres of untouched land. It smells like piñon, sage and juniper. The camp host is a really nice guy. There are a lot of little details everywhere that show that someone thinks this is a really special place - and it is.

Matt and Wendy are the nicest camp host! Clean and quiet! Will be back again!

We were here only for few days, but the experience was amazing.

Stayed at The Views for 1 month and totally enjoyed our time. Well maintained, quite and the owners and staff so nice and hard workers. Hopefully, we will be able to return and will look forward to it!

The Views is located just outside Dolores, CO with immediate access to McPhee Reservoir, Dolores River and miles of mountain bike trails. You are close enough to Durango and Cortez to get any and all necessities, but far enough away to enjoy miles of unobstructed views to the west and NO city lights to block the amazing stargazing opportunities.

The facilities are super clean, well laid out and easily accessible. The RV sites are level, spacious and very easy to park the RV.

The crew @ The Views are super friendly and Matt is a local expert on the mountain bike trails.

We loved our stay at The Views this summer and would not hesitate to stop in for more time on our next trip.
