Close to outside activities and clean facilities
We arrived on Thursday and there were plenty of spaces open to pick from on the 50 Amp or 30 Amp side. The 30 Amp side is pull through so we decided to set up at site 61 further away from the Highway because it is a bit noisy from road noise. We didn't see any homeless people or outsiders although we did hear that the rangers are on the lookout due to theft and bikes being targeted recently. There are motion activated lights around some of the perimeter and we didn't encounter any of this during our stay even on our nightly bike rides. It was very windy and we had to leave one day early because we didn't want to travel back in a high wind advisory. The rates are expensive if you are staying nightly, but I would recommend it if you have a TT membership. Do yourself a favor and show up with a shovel or rake or contact the ranger to clean up your campsite. We didn't realize it until too late and had so many hard thorns from the weeds in the grass around the campsites, they stick to everything and follow you into your RV (they hurt) and they will give you flat tires on your bikes. One more weird rule that isn't on their regulations or policies page, a ranger drove up to my site and told me I had to take my flag down because only California or USA flags are allowed (I had a Rams flag up during the Rams game) which was weird because on our bike rides I saw flags that weren't a US flag or California flag flying.
