    Preferred RV Resort

    Nice rv park

Gravel roads throughout the park, nice large parking spaces for your rigs, they have a cool community garden which is cool because you can go pick some fresh veggies, a nice enclosed pool area kind a looks like an outside garden with clear windows metal framing but there’s a pool inside with plenty of activities going on such as workouts volleyball etc., they have a community clubhouse, each spot comeWith a slab of cement for Anything you may need it for, and a table full hook ups, shaded areas, and they offer a lot of activities a really good place nice people, and overall a good RV park Also they do have a few cabin rentals if you’d like to stay in that rather than in your RV

    Wine Ridge RV Resort

A great place to plan for longer visit

We only spent one night, scouting out for a future reservation. It’s a well kept, gated community which includes cabins, cottages, pools, pickle-ball courts and organized community events like bingo, free waffle breakfast a few days per week. A taco truck showed up on this Tuesday, so we had an easy dinner option. The streets are paved, the sites are gravel with a concrete slab patio. A few end spaces have umbrella tables. Also, there are nice private shower rooms. Great monthly rates listed on website.

    Delight’s Hot Springs Campground

Low Key Resort with Gorgeous Hot Pools

This place is not much of a campground, but it makes up for it in being a super cool, chilled out, low key hot spring. The sites are pretty close together like a lot of other RV parks, and there are very few trees, it’s the desert afterall, but the landscape is stunning!

There are hiking, biking, and ATV roads just off the property, in addition to a few other locally maintained hot pools, so you can get out and enjoy the desert. There are luxurious and clean indoor private pools that allow groups of 8 or less to soak for 30 minutes, and a large outdoor pool with smaller hot tubs right around the perimeter available 24 hours a day.

The resort offers flush toilets and hot showers as well as some pretty slow wifi closer to the office. We had pretty spotty Verizon service in the area but that’s not why you come here. You come to soak, to chill out and get away from all those notifications. And this place allows you to do it.

Additionally there are some small and sparsely decorated cabins and guest rooms for folks without an RV or camping gear. All of the sites have electricity and nearby water, but we never need hook ups because our solar panel system works simply and beautifully out in the desert sun, and everywhere else we’ve been.

Locally, there isn’t much in the way of food except a local steakhouse, bistro and brewery serving barbeque, we didn’t checkout any of them. We did make a day trip down to China Ranch for some amazing Date Shakes and Mediterranean fare. There’s some great hiking down there as well, and well worth the bike ride or drive.

The closest town with all the regular services is Pahrump Nevada, about 45 minutes away.

    Tecopa Hot Springs Resort

    Rejuvenating!

This place is awesome! The pools are relaxing, tranquil, and rejuvenating. Excellent hiking and you must rent the RAD POWER bicycles. You have an option to rent a private pool for 10 bucks though the main baths are excellent. Ryan Thomas runs the place with a team of docents/volunteers who live on site. Many options to suit any traveler and in November we went to Tecopa Takeover, a lovely music fest!

    Delight’s Hot Springs Campground

    Delight's

Recommended by a friend, this place did not disappoint. We arrived around 3 on a rainy day, checked in ($35/person) and had a full hook-up but only used the electric. Got in a soak before dinner in one of the 4 private tub rooms. Each has a shower and is open to the sky. Later that evening we enjoyed the swimming pool and outdoor spa, then a private soak and shower sans suit . One more stew in the am before checkout left us refreshed, relaxed and ready for the drive into Death Valley.

    Lakeside Casino & RV Resort

    Great park, minus the invasion

Lakeside was highly recommended by a friend as an easy get away to a true oasis...and MAN was it ever. Amazing landscaping and scenery, super friendly staff, lots of convenience nearby, and friendly campers. The complimentary to premium sites paddle board and kayak rentals were closed due to COVID but that is understandable in this environment.

Now onto the invasion. As first I thought I was going to review the fearless ducks and geese who aren't afraid to show up around meal time in the hopes of some vittles. Though they were aggressive, they were never dangerous and have given my kids a few stories they will share for ages. The invasion I have to report on is....ants. Our site was Site #1 and though I thought being close to the dumpsters was super convenient, so did swarms of carpenter ants. We were overwhelmed with how many there were and how fast they found their way around every known barrier and trap we had at our disposal. We stayed our full two days but didn't delay rolling out as soon as possible Sun morning.

So...is the park worth it, absolutely! But do not reserve spot #1 and be cautious of any site hear the dumpsters.

I'll update a review in a different spot when we return.
