Easy Camp for the Night

After stopping in Las Vegas for the evening we hopped on the highway and 20 minutes later found this quiet spot.

It was super easy to get to and not many people. There were 3 other campers(2-RVs and 1-Camper Tent) so that was nice to see others camping there as well.

It’s secluded enough but…

Quick getaway

This is a great little getaway outside of las vegas and pahrump. After a few miles in, you hit some trees and cooler weather. Stayed for one night, but will definitely be going back. You can ride around on toys and there are several hiking trails. Fire pits only. Some you can park a rig next to, of…

Road side sites

This place has road side camp sites that are well spread out. Perfect for a night or two. No bathrooms or facilities but that wasn’t a problem

Hidden gem

Pros: Love this place. Tons of scenery and wild life. Very quiet and pitch dark with no moon.

Cons: 4x4 speeders on the road. Rangers and fire dept can be a bit nosy and each one says their own rules... But the office says 14 out 14 in. While rebuilding my vintage trailer I stayed here and it was…

Rip Off.

Exspect to pay for any car you bring in this state park. This is a rip off park. We payed $45 for the camper truck and $25 for a car because it had az.lic. on a rental car. We could have stay at AVI for two nights at this price.

Didn't Intend To Be Here But Oops

Pro/Con @ Bottom Originally I was trying to camp at established sites in Valley of Fire or Red rock but they were full, so came here as a last resort.

It's a beautifully rugged area, lots of pull of camp sites spread around. Can be busy and harder to find spots, but further back should have…

  • Some of the side roads were iffy, main road easily traversible sans 4*4
  • Beautiful sky and terrain, some small scrubby trees provide shade
  • Dogs loved it, entertained himself by eating flies

Nice desert camping

We stayed one night here and enjoyed the beautiful sunset and sunrise. Nice, big campsites and well maintained facility. We made the mistake of taking the dirt road through the preserve from the North- we do not recommend! It was such bad washboard it took 2 hours to go 15 miles. Save yourself and…

We only broke 3 rules this time

Last time we stayed here I think I counted about 7 times we broke ... ‘cause there are so many rules! No pit bulls, no exterior steps not integrated into the camper, no storing things outside the camper, camper age restrictions and inspections ... thank goodness it’s expensive and completely…

A Desert Oasis right on the strip!

We have stayed here many times, including a 7 month stay when we first moved to Vegas.

There are so many positive points about this campground.

First, the Staff is awesome and ready to help you with any issue.  This is very consistent whether it’s the front desk or landscapers.

Nice Disperse Camping

I found a nice little spot in the big open area. Just me and my dog for a night to get me through to Red Rock.

Lots....

Lots of everything at this park. 2 pools, bar, restaurant, dog runs, store, meeting rooms, security and more. Extra clean showers and bathrooms. Quick access from I-15. Only complaint is that it is a little noisy from the nearby freeway.

Nice Ambiance

Staff is awesome, sites are a little small but you’re on the Vegas Strip, baby. It’s quiet, clean, two pools, a snack bar with the nicest staff! Security. This is a great place to stay and still enjoy Vegas.
