Wide open and peaceful

Up on the foothills, this expansive campground is in a nice, peaceful setting. Exposed to the elements, it was quite windy with no shade the 2 days we stayed there, except for the nice little shelters on each site. Most of the sites are by reservation only but one loop is first-come. Wonderful…

Everything in one

This was by far my favorite camping! Besides the lake being a one minute walk from your site they also had super clean restrooms with running water. The view of the lake is amazing! The drive up was nice too. The fishing was amazing!! Everyone with a license caught fish! There’s convenience stores…

Great little spot

Pass the two normal campgrounds and there’s a ton of turn offs to camp at. We have a 30ft so it was pretty big and it was freeeeeeee

We will be back

Clean easy to get in sites. Water and electric sites with a dump station for when you leave. Bathrooms were very clean. Only complaint is that as a paying guest we still had to pay to dump ($5) and showers are $2/7mins. Great place for kids with playground, western town and store with ice cream…

Amazing getaway

Sentinel was the only campground available for a visit to Kings Canyon and Sequoia. Be prepared for a LONG drive to get anywhere.

The campsite was amazing!!! You are nestled by the river and under beautiful big trees. The site was spacious with a picnic table, fire pit and bear box.

Great, quiet campground with easy access.

Great campground! Very clean, quiet and peaceful. The campground typically takes reservations ahead of time; however our trip was midweek so first come, first serve. We arrived just after 4pm so plenty of spots to choose from.

Camp host was very nice. Surrounding neighbors well spaced out and…

Would have been better w/o the wildfires.

The staff/owners were awesome even in a semi-crisis. This was during the California wildfires. I would recommend this RV park/campground they have ample space for both. Every site has a bear box. The one night I stayed there were at least 2-3 bear incursions into the grounds.

Beautiful

Amazing spot to camp! Some campers are extremely disrespectful up here and leave trash

BLM- Low Cost Campground

This campground was open when convict lake and local rv parks were at maximum capacity. It’s a short drive to near by attractions, and a good base camp to enjoy mammoth lake and near by trails.

Secluded.

Beautiful campsites with plenty of space. Best sites are right next to the creek. The only downside is the stench of the pit toilets.

Cozy spot on the edge of town

I stayed 2 nights here Sept 29 & 30, 2020 and I’m glad I did. First off, the price was great which was $28/night throw in a 7 minute hot shower for $2 more(you buy the tokens at the onsite general store) but the cold showers are free. Number 2, Bishop is a nice little town with AMAZING food…

Spectacular Scenery

Convict Lake is probably one of my most favorite cam[grounds. It's situated at the base of an impressive mountain and at the shore of an awesome lake. You can't ask more. There's also wildlife strolling thru the campgrounds all the time.

The campsites are well spaced out with some actually…

Dispersed camping nearby is better than campground

We were originally supposed to be at the East Fork Campground but a wildfire shut it down the day we arrived. So we drove to Deadman and nothing. And frankly the campsites were to close together and the toilet was gross. So we went maybe a half mile farther up the road and camped on a dispersed…

No shade but one of our faves

We usually stay in the Mammoth Lakes area but changed it up and we are so happy we did. The tent sites are small with little to no shade but the beauty of Convict Lake was worth it. The only wildlife we dealt with were deer which is much better than bears (so many in Mammoth).

We enjoyed paddle…
