Big rv spots

Good place to rv stay. Back in sites with HUGE additional spots for extra vehicle. No tables Full hook ups All paved spots which is great because no dust getting into your rig. I took a picture of 5 before we pulled in so you can see how huge. The host is friendly and lives on site. No pool A…

Gorgeous and communal spot

The drive up to the campsite and view from any location in the park is gorgeous. There’s lot of families and big groups around - so great for big groups but not if you’re looking for peace and quiet. The gate to enter does close at 10 though you can always leave and all the amenities were well…

Wrong Coordinates

The coordinates listed are incorrect. They led us through Angeles National Forest. It told us to park our car in the middle of the highway with no other roads or turn offs around. There were a TON of cars racing through down the roads. We even witnessed the immediate aftermath of some people racing…

Creek Gorgeous-ness

Crossing the tiny bridge at the west end of Switzer Picinic area(park up top during the weekdays, adds half a mile), you’ll see Switzer Trail Camp. You snake up the hill(keep an eye out for those btw) and see breathtaking views from the top of the canyon, veer to the left down the hill and go…

Great campground for hiking/biking

Cool drive to get to the campground. You drive up and down these hilly roads up the mountain to get there. Once there, there's a parking lot that fits about 20 cars. There's about 100 yd hike to the campsites. There's a road that leads to the campsite but it's been blocked off. Only the campsite…

Backpaking

Good backpacking camping spot. There is usually a stream for filtering water. Plenty of sites for camping.  Usually quiet when not too many people around. There was a loud group when we were there once since it is a doable hike from Red Box Junction. Trail leading to the camp can also be filled…

Weekend backpacking

Close by campsite and pitstop on the way to Mt. Wilson. Great overlook of the Los Angeles. Lots of bugs around good thing we had a head net. Not many people around when we were camping so it was pretty quiet.
