Part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Lake Sonoma recreation area, COE Lake Sonoma Boat-In Site Campground provides water-accessible camping along the reservoir's shoreline. Campers must arrive by boat, as no road access connects to these sites. The campground operates year-round under Corps management.
Several other Corps-managed facilities sit nearby, including COE Lake Sonoma Boat-in / Hike-in Camping and Warm Springs Recreation Area. The reservoir serves as the primary recreation hub for the area, with boat launches available at multiple points around the lake for camping near Cloverdale.
