.False advertising and over rated

.False advertising and over rated We booked for a week at this place. was really looking forward to it. We made the"luxury" reservations and given a snapshot of what our space would look like. When we got to our"luxury" space...it was located on the end right next to a dumpster, looking stratight towards to freeway traffic; and no privacy...no bushes or shade. With this in mind....the property is located in between freeway and major road...so there is no escaping any traffic noise. My guess is: 95% of the spaces are for full timers...but that is just my guess. I will say...that the people were very very nice, very respectful of each other, the children were well disciplined and the grounds were kept very well; with the exception of the freeway lane...no trees to buffer out any noise or dirt from the freeway. and very little shade. WiFi was free for a couple of hours..then you have to pay. So...we used our cell phones instead to get some work done. We inquired about our Good Sam Discount...she said it was applied...upon looking at bill...we did not get our discount. I give the rating of 2 because I thought the management heard our concerns about our pictures that we were given as our"Luxury" site; and they offered us the"Presidential Site" for a week. It was a nice setup...BUT...the Presidential site is right next to the entrance gate facing the main street; so we got the constant gate opening and closing, and there was absolutely NO privacy. New bushes were planted...but not tall enough yet to serve a purpose. All in all...I'm still sad that our week was very disappointing...too much money lost to inaccurate marketing scheme. I think this place could do better if they invest in more treescaping along all the major freeway curbings...and offer more tree/bushes between sites. They have a ways to go...but I think they are the right track for something.

El Cagon, Ca Expensive and crowded

Hwy 8 is right outside your door and very loud. Sites are adequate and if you have a pull through site you get a grill, however ours is out of gas! Parking your vehicle is tight. Everyone is within their boundaries it’s just tight. We had to back in our 42’ because there was no way to just pull in with a vehicle and a tree in the way. But backed in just fine. Laundry is $5 a load for both w&d. Ridiculous as they are very small and don’t hold a lot. The park is secured with a gate which requires a code. Pool was clean as was the park. Lots of full time people which is the way it is anymore.

El Cajon, CA…..tooooo crowded

As it is everywhere in CA it’s crowded. The 8 freeway runs behind it so it’s extremely noisy at all hours . Never saw anyone to talk with. Lots of full time people and some have more than 1 vehicle. They don’t encroach on your space but you start out with very little room. The sites are concrete with a brick patio. If you have a pull through you get a grill. We had a pull through but no room with parked cars to get our 42’ 5th wheel in- so we backed it in and it fit nicely. It’s a clean park and has a nice pool and laundry room. It’s extremely expensive to do laundry at $5 a pop for both w&d. No coins use a credit or debit card. I had a washer that after I put money in didn’t work. Normally I’d just let it go but at $5- not so much! Roads are very narrow. People in office were very nice. It is gated so you need a code to get in.

Tight Quarters

I had a reservation for a week the beginning of June. I called them up, and they let me arrive early because of an issue with another RV park. I wish I remembered the woman’s name. Place is well taken care of, but there are a lot of regular residents, and they park their cars everywhere. Empty spaces, half in the space, half in the street, it was nuts. I guess there’s a new manager who said she has her work cut out for her. Cell service was good (Consumer Cellular). The internet sucked because you could get it free for 5 days, but then had to spend if you’re there longer, and the speed was terrible. Plus you could only connect one device to it. No Smart TV, iPhone, iPad, and laptop. Just one device! In this day and age that is nuts. Got about 20 OTA channels, but only one major network, NBC. Laundry is with your debit card, but wicked expensive, $3.75 wash, $3.75 dry. Short walking distance to numerous stores, fast food joints, and to make you feel safe, a Highway Patrol office is right across the street. Nice and quiet, full hook-ups, gravel with a cement slab driveway, but very small. And they allowed ShadePro to install a new awning on my rig! Despite the negatives, I’d stay here again.
