Great Port in a storm.

The winds were forecasted to be 70 mph tonight so we were happy to find this place. $40 and $50 fir two vehicles. A bit pricey for just water and 30 amp but very welcome. Camped along a gurgling creek. Very nice.

Need a break? Stop at Browns Millpond!

Spacious rv and trailer sites, with water and electric but no dump station. That would be a plus if they added the dump station or sewer hookups. Lots of trees for shade, a small creek runs through the site. Hot showers and clean restrooms. Laundry is available on site as well. Nice place to stop for a night or two. We stopped here for one night with our kids and two dogs in a 26 foot trailer.

Trees and a creek

Site 38

There are power and water hookups at this camp but we stayed on a dry site because we have solar.

The sites range in size. All of them good for RV’s but plenty of people only use them for tents. Each site has grass and backs into a little creek. It’s a very busy place, and while the sites aren’t ‘tight’ you will hear your neighbors and they will hear you. The 10pm curfew is enforced by the owner who lives on site.

There is a little general store but, not as plentiful as the other campgrounds owned by this family. The best thing about this campsite is the pump out service offered by Bishop RV rentals, even to trailers he hasn’t rented out.

Very nice campground.

This campground is clean and quiet. There are spaces for travel trailers and motor homes with or without electricity and water and there are spaces for tent camping as well. The restrooms are clean and have showers,a small stream runs through the campground and fires are allowed. The campground is near a county park with a small lake . This is a great home base to explore the area, Toms place,Rock creek,Convict Lake, Mammoth and the June Lake loop are within 45 min. Definitely worth checking out we stay two times a year and we love it.

Quaint, camping with kids 3 and up.

The Browns Millpond campsite was a last minute trip to Bishop. The campsite was small for tent campers and had hookups for RV's. The camp had showers, toilets and even a fish cleaning station. What I liked most about this camp site was that there was a stream running through the entire campground. Kids from 3 and up were playing in the water near the camp sites. It was great to see kids playing in a natural stream having a good time. The water and trees made for a comfortable place to rest and re-energize. Millpond also had a archery field that was quite large and a larger pond surrounded by beautiful trees and even had a well kept baseball field. The larger pond had fish and also for older kids to play. I would definitely go again.
