Most beautifull place

This campground was the most beautifull place I have ever seen of all my trips around the world! During our stay we were almost alone at our campsite area. The friendly ladies at the entrance gave us the perfect site very close to the lake - thanks for that!

Pricey For What You Get

The park was nice for the most part. Little on the expensive side for what you get. Every site has power. The sites I saw were all dirt, not sure if they have nicer sites or not. The site wasn't level but was manageable. Bathrooms are outdated but clean, and they charge you an extra $5 to use the showers. During the time I was there, it was a 2 night minimum, which h sucked cause I was just passing through. It's a large park so they always seem to have room even for last-minute bookings.

Wonderful Campsite!

We had never been camping as a family and I hadn’t been camping since I was a teenager. The entire camp site is huge, well maintained and just wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are clean and well up kept. All of the campsites are spacious and free of clutter. There is easy access to the lake and marina. Overall a great visit and experience.

Fantastic spot, clean and spacious!

Spent a four-day weekend here in the Jeffrey Pine Loop, we loved it. Hit a good weekend, this loop was sparsely occupied, which made it extra peaceful.

Grounds are well-kept, and this facility is huge! Bathrooms near our site were clean, and water spigots are plentiful throughout.

Excellent visit

Good experience, campground was very quiet while we were there@ Elderberry loop.
Weather was good. Neighbors were friendly. Firewood guy comes around late in the day it for $1 log.

Saw some deer cruising through the campground, once with a coyote tracking them. A bear visiting Cedar loop and made a mess out of one of the dumpsters.

The negatives were lake water levels extremely low, marina closed early for this due to safety reasons. General store also closed early without notice so we couldn't buy ice, etc. WiFi not working while we were there but had 2-3 bars with ATT

Friendly Hosts and close to the water

Love it here, can't wait to return!

We stayed at drive thru site 103 which is a medium size site with PLENTY of space. It was fairly level and we had electric hook-ups for 30 & 50 amp service. The water spigot was a little ways away so we filled up on our way in. We were situated across the bathrooms and showers which were very clean. Make sure you get your shower card when you check in otherwise you have to go back to the kiosk. I think you get 40 minutes for 5 dollars.

There is also a service that drives through the loops to sell wood which was really convenient. Make sure you have cash on hand. If you miss it, check with your host. They can see if they are still on site and send them your way or you can buy wood from the store but they close early.

The burn scar is heart breaking to drive through but I'm grateful the campsite survived. It makes you appreciate nature from a different point if view.

Camp Edison

Camp Edison was beautiful, clean facilities, and nice easy walk to the lake. Camp sites were set up well, with the exception of ours, a back in RV site that was essentially a dust bowl. It’s was so dusty and dirty, we will carry Camp Edison dirt with us for months, despite best efforts to keep our trailer clean. But overall, we had a nice time, and will be back, just hoping for another site!!

Very close to beautiful lake

We rented an RV and had it delivered to the campsite and set up; all sites have electric hookups and water spigots nearby, but one loop has full RV hookups at each spot. We were very close to the lake, just a short walk, and it's beautiful. Super clear, relaxing sounds, easy trails all along. It might be because it's the first week of reservations (and no tent camping till next Tuesday bc Covid), but we haven't been running into anyone walking on the trails. It's kind of insane how quiet and remote it seems because of that, but I can't say how it'll be next week. Still, something to be said for going not in the middle of the season!

hands down my favorite campground

I always looked forward to my yearly week long summer camp trip at Camp Edison in Shaver Lake, CA.

Nestled in the Sequoias, this beautiful lakeside campground hosts several amenities such as boating with rentals and launch ramps, full showers and well maintained bathrooms, large campsites, nearby horse back riding trails and hiking.

Our group always got the group sites 42-44, which are lakeside and butt-up to what we call Moon rock. Moon rock sits in a meadow and soaks up sun all day, making it a nice warm space to star gaze at night while listening to the horses in the stable nextdoor.

Taking the boat out to explore the other side of the lake offers hidden falls and rock jumping, and private beach lounging.

Some of my favorite memories were from camping trips at Camp Edison and recommend at least 4 days.

Beautiful & a Great Time for All

Camp Edison is a great campground, super clean! Shaver Lake is so beautiful! We try to get a campsite next to the water. We also reserve a boat so we can explore the lake. We went for the first time a couple years ago and it is now an annual trip that we plan on taking for life, it's that fun! Great for family and friends. Bring the dogs. Enjoy!

A favorite campground of mine

Camp Edison is extremely beautiful! I love camping here either every year or every other year (I like seeking new campgrounds). The first time I camped here was the first week of October in 2016. It was a whole lot colder than I had thought, but luckily we just put some stones around our fire and wrapped it up in wool to keep at our feet and around our bodies when we did go to bed. It definitely kept us toasty. We were the only tent campers there were some camp hosts in RVs and campers but far from our site. So when the night came around, we got visited by raccoons and coyotes. They went through our campsite but nothing major. We did leave one bag of chips out and the raccoons ate it. Totally my fault and never left anything out ever again. Second time camping here (April 2018) our campsite was super spacious we were able to set up lawn games and play catch.

Room to Roam

We have been coming to Camp Edison annually for the past 15 years and have never been disappointed. Each site has plenty of room and includes a picnic table and fire pit. It’s a short walk to Shaver Lake from virtually any of the sites, and several have a nice view of the lake. Fishing, boating, swimming or just picnicking on one of the many beaches surrounding the lake is a great way to spend your time. Some sites have full hook ups, but most have just electricity and cable TV, with water faucets nearby to fill your RV or use as needed if dry camping. There is a dump station on site and also a “honey wagon” that will come to your site and pump out your waste water, if you desire. Restrooms are clean and plentiful and each has a shower (25 cents for 2 minutes). The laundromat has come in handy several times, too. Camp Edison has great activities during the summer season including guided educational nature walks, both day and evening, as well as kids’ movies in the amphitheater. There is also a museum on site that offers activities and fun events like an ice cream social.
