Description
On the western edge of Ozark National Forest, this flat gravel lot sits at the boundary of the Wedington Wildlife Management Area, just off a quiet side road near the Illinois River. Hunting-regulation signage marks the forest boundary, and the grounds are calm after dark with only occasional passing traffic audible from Highway 412. The lot is large enough to maneuver a big tow-behind with ease, and the grassy, partially reclaimed gravel surface keeps things surprisingly pleasant underfoot.
