Downtown Riverside RV Park in North Little Rock offers year-round camping with level concrete pads and full hookups including 50-amp electrical service, though sites are arranged in a parking lot configuration. "At first entrance it appears as if you are entering a large parking lot," notes one reviewer, adding that the center area contains pull-through sites while other sites are positioned along the water and fence. H&G RV Campground east of Cabot provides full hookup sites with 50/30-amp electrical connections on well-maintained gravel pads, making it particularly suitable for overnight stays. These RV campgrounds near Cabot offer convenient access points for exploring central Arkansas while providing necessary amenities for comfortable extended stays.

Most campgrounds around Cabot are pet-friendly, though specific rules vary by location. Cell service is generally reliable throughout the area, with one visitor at Red River RV Park reporting Verizon 5G speeds of 75-85 Mbps download and 28-35 Mbps upload. Dump stations are available at all mentioned parks, with Sweet Escape and Downtown Riverside offering sewer hookups directly at campsites. Amenities vary significantly between parks - Sweet Escape provides a large dog park, fishing ponds, bathhouse with showers, and laundry facilities, while H&G offers more basic services focused on essential RV needs. Access roads to most parks are well-maintained and suitable for larger rigs, though some parks have limited pull-through sites that fill quickly. Checking availability in advance is especially important for RV campsites with pull-through access, as these tend to book up first during busy seasons.

      Little Rock AFB FamCamp

Not a bad little RV park, bathrooms were close and there were plenty of spots available. We got a back in spot at the front of the campground, but there were quite a few pull through as well. The entrance area parking lot was huge. So there was plenty of room to disconnect our TOAD before backing in.

      Older, but still nice

Facilities look dated, but staff was great. Had an electrical problem on our pole after we were already set up and working. Allowed us to use neighboring site electricity, and started fixing ours. Lots of mature trees. Right off interstate so decent amount of road noise, but not a big deal.

      Indian Lakes Resort

      Nice and quiet

We stopped to camp here on a Sunday night because it was convenient to where we were headed. It is off the beaten path so it was nice and quiet. There were only a few campers but although there is a beach that had families playing and swimming, it cleared out by 7PM. Our campsite was nice but the ground was hard and full of rocks, which made tent stakes useless, but our tent will function without them. The facilities were old and dated but they were clean and neat and the family who owns the campground were really nice and friendly. All in all, a good experience and a restful nights sleep for $30 a night.

      Maumelle COE campground

Shower and bath houses are terrible

Big campground with a lot of lake views. Not as quiet as I usually like. Just a lot of traffic from day use areas I guess.

      Sunrise on the River

Great little camp ground tucked up against the Little Red River. Had direct access from camp site to the river to fish and enjoy the sunshine.

Site was clean and entire camp ground was quite despite it being full.

      Maumelle COE campground

Its a nice area of town

It's been a bit strange. No placard for our car, only room to park one vehicle. Dog poop at our site. My husband stepped in it as we were unhooking. It's quiet and other than the dog poop situation it seems clean.

      Very nice campground

We were there for 14 nights. We were in a very shady site. So shady, Starlink was sketchy service. We had no cell service at our site without going off Starlink. No sewer in area D. Im not sure about the other areas. We had water and electric. Campground was clean and quiet. Will definitely go again.

    Guide to Cabot

Campers seeking RV sites near Cabot, Arkansas have options within a 30-mile radius of the city. The area sits at approximately 300 feet elevation in the Arkansas River Valley region with mild winters and hot, humid summers. The camping season runs year-round with peak visitation from April through October when temperatures average between 65-95°F.

    What to do

Riverside fishing opportunities: Willow Beach Campground offers direct access to the Arkansas River with spacious waterfront sites. "Beautiful campsite along the Arkansas River. The sites are all very spacious with very long back in driveways. Some of the sites had covered picnic tables, which was great," notes Kelly E.

Urban exploration via footbridge: Downtown Riverside RV Park provides easy access to Little Rock's cultural attractions. "You can walk across the bridge to the Clinton Library. Good pavilion space for hosting events," says Kevin A. Another camper mentions, "There is a pedestrian bridge that takes you over the Arkansas River to downtown and all the attractions; as well as, some great restaurants and a vibrant downtown."

Holiday celebrations: Seasonal events enhance the camping experience at parks near Cabot. At Sweet Escape RV Resort, one visitor notes, "In the winter they have complementary hot chocolate and a 15 ft Christmas tree!!!" This makes winter stays more festive for holiday campers.

    What campers like

Spacious, level sites: Willow Beach receives high marks for its well-maintained camping areas. "The sites are extremely level! I didn't even need to level my pop-up camper!!" reports Jo E. Another reviewer mentions, "Campground located on the river with beautiful scenic views. Covered picnic table and tall fire ring. Spacious camps. Flat pad."

Clean facilities: Sweet Escape RV Resort maintains exceptional standards according to visitors. "The bathrooms are the cleanest that i have seen in a campground/RV park they clean them daily," states one reviewer. Another adds, "Very friendly campground. Many amenities including laundry, bathhouse, very nice showers, and large dog park."

Budget-friendly options: Some campgrounds offer excellent value. At Willow Beach, one camper shares, "$9 a night with America the beautiful pass. Large sites, not piled in on each other like RV parks. It's a clean campground outside the city, can't beat it for the price."

    What you should know

Weather impacts: Low-lying campgrounds in the region experience drainage issues after rain. At Willow Beach, a camper notes, "Campground is low and will be soggy after rain." Plan accordingly during wet seasons.

Wildlife encounters: Local campgrounds host native wildlife including snakes. "We encountered lots of snakes. I shooed a few off the road and they disappeared as soon as they slithered into the grass, so to me it's pretty risky walking around," warns a reviewer at Willow Beach.

Insect preparation: Waterfront camping requires bug protection. "It is near water so there are a lot of mosquitos, so come prepared," advises a camper at Tar Camp. Another visitor mentions, "Lots of bugs due to being near the river" as one of the downsides.

    Tips for camping with families

Recreation amenities: The fishing ponds at Sweet Escape RV Resort provide family entertainment. "We really enjoyed the fishing ponds as well. The owners could not have been nicer and more helpful," reports one visitor.

Playground availability: Check playground status before booking. At Willow Beach, a camper noted, "Nice playground but it was taped off during our stay due to covid."

Security features: H&G RV Campground offers a quiet, secure environment for families. "Its quiet, safe, and Gary is so nice. It's in the country and close to 40 but you don't get the traffic noise," observes Debbie M.

    Tips from RVers

Overnight convenience: H&G RV Campground serves well for transit stops. "Traveling across country on I-40, found this camp ground on the DYRT app. Close to Interstate, Love's station at exit. Has full hookup 50/30Amp, water and sewer. Gravel pads and well maintained," says Rod A.

Personal service: Small RV parks often provide exceptional personal attention. "Gary met me as I arrived in the park, guided me to my spot and even helped connect the water while I hooked up electric and waste," shares a camper at H&G RV Campground.

Connection options: Cell service quality varies by provider. At Red River RV Park, "My Verizon LTE hotspot averaged between 5 and 10 Mbps down and 0.8 to 1.6 up. My Verizon 5g phone averaged 75 to 85 Mbps down and 28 to 35 Mbps up. One of my neighbors was on a T-mobile 5g hotspot and was consistently over 50 Mbps download."
