## Overview

Rising Star Campground is located on the Arkansas River by Pool 3 Lock and Dam. Whether camping, fishing, boating or just relaxing in the sun, this area provides something for everyone.

## Recreation

The campground is popular among fishermen. There is excellent catfish fishing in the tail-waters of Joe Hardin Lock and Dam as well as Emmitt Sanders Lock and Dam at the upstream end of Pool 3. Anglers often catch bass, crappie and bream.   
  
Hunting is available in nearby forests, and there is duck hunting on the waterways.   
  
On shore, families enjoy picnicking and using the playground.

## Facilities

Rising Star Campground offers 25 sites with electric and water hookups. Additional amenities include hot showers, a dump station and a playground.   
  
There is one accessible group shelter that can accommodate up to 60 people; it is for day-use only and must be reserved.

The park is in a forested area along the riverfront, close to the rolling fields of cotton farms. It is 193 feet above sea level; winters are generally mild and summer temperatures reach the upper 90s with high humidity.   
  
Red fox are frequently seen in the park, and numerous species of waterfowl live in the water and along the shores.

Willow Beach Campground is located near the David D.Terry Lock and Dam of the Arkansas River.   
  
The wealth of recreational opportunities in the Arkansas River Valley provides visitors with endless fun for the whole family. Outdoor activities such as camping, picnicking, boating and sightseeing are favorite pastimes.

## Recreation

Willow Beach has a boat ramp and offers excellent fishing, especially in the old river cutoffs and the tail-waters of the dam and Murry Lock and Dam upstream. Anglers often catch bass, crappie and bream in the Arkansas River.   
  
Hunting is available in nearby forests, and there is duck hunting on the waterways.   
  
On shore, families enjoy picnicking and using the playground.

Pitch your tent, park your RV, or hang your hammock and totally unplug in this pine forest. If you are looking for total peace, a place to watch wildlife, and enjoy nature…this is it! Feel out in the middle of nowhere, and yet have anything you want or need within a short drive. Enjoy Jenkins Ferry, Saline River, a little further enjoy the bath houses and hot springs of Hot Springs, AR.

Years ago this area saw major civil war battles, the Oak trees at Jenkins Ferry are huge and have a story to tell. Much of the land in the area had been logged heavily and even this land was clear cut. It is now a thriving pine forest, the land owner is working to coexist with the animals and nature.

James and Jimmilea Berryhill have been hosting guests for the past 7 years. With over 200 excellent reviews on various platforms and many returning guests, the Berryhills want to make your vacation or work stay as easy as possible. Jubilee Farms Campground is located 15 miles from Malvern, Arkansas just off Hwy 9 South. It is surrounded by thousands of acres of woodland, a few small farms, and all the sounds of the great outdoors. As a tent, RV, and nightly rental site, Jubilee offers easy access to all camping sites, full water, and electric hookups for 4 RV campsites, and multiple places for tent camping. The farm has three ponds for catch-and-release fishing, a play spot for children, swings for adults, a hammock, lawn chairs, charcoal grills for guests, and a small dipping pool during the season. There is a lovely spot by the lake with a fire pit, lots of walking area in the 80 acres, games on the lawn (badminton, volleyball), and entertainment from the ducks and chickens. We offer fresh eggs to campers most of the time (when the chickens are willing). We are a Christian family and there are three other families living on the farm full-time. The farm is mostly open grassland with some wooded areas. Restrictions include: no parties unless approved, no recreational drugs allowed, no smoking other than in your tented area or RV (remember safety with any fire), no fires except in grills or the designated firepit, quiet time 10 pm - 7 am, no entering private yards without permission. We are 35 miles from Hot Springs where Lake Hamilton, Lake Catherine and Lake Degray offer every possible swimming, fishing, and boating experience. We are just 5 miles from Cox Creek Lake (a local fishing lake somewhat larger than on our land). We are a family-friendly campground and welcome friendly, respectful guests to enjoy this lovely place.

Two large group picnic shelters that can each accommodate up to 60 people each can be reserved for day use.   
  
A rock climbing wall and basketball court provide additional recreation opportunities.

Located where the Coastal Plain meets the Mississippi Delta, Cane Creek Campground offers you the opportunity to experience both in one visit. The trail system is a point of pride at the park. Trail run, ride, or backpack through rolling terrain, along the lake, and across three suspension bridges. Paddle or fish Cane Creek Lake. Explore nearby Bayou Bartholomew, the world’s longest bayou. Interpretive programs include guided walking, biking, kayaking, and birding tours. Facilities include 29 campsites (11 Class A and 18 Class B), one Rent-An-RV, picnic sites, a backpacking shelter, pavilions, visitor center with exhibits and gift shop, launch ramp, fishing piers, a bathhouse, and playground. Boat and bicycle rentals are available.
