COE Degray Lake Edgewood Campground

Within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' DeGray Lake system, COE Degray Lake Edgewood Campground operates year-round on a peninsula surrounded by lake water. The campground accommodates RVs up to 80 feet with electric and water hookups at most sites, plus a dump station for extended stays.

Sites vary in layout and condition, with some positioned on hillsides that create privacy but present challenges for awning setup. Ashley W. notes her site "had quite a bit of privacy from the other campers" but mentions the steep terrain and deteriorating concrete pad. Pull-through sites offer easier access for larger rigs. A fishing trail connects directly from some campsites to lake access points, while a beach area provides swimming opportunities during warmer months.

The campground includes heated restroom facilities with showers that campers consistently describe as clean. A playground serves families with children, and the atmosphere tends toward family-oriented camping. Horse flies can be problematic during summer months, particularly affecting outdoor activities and pet walks. DeGray Lake Resort State Park sits nearby for additional recreation options.

Arkadelphia provides the closest supply runs, with parking described as limited but spacious where available. The lakefront setting appeals to anglers and water recreation enthusiasts looking for direct access to DeGray Lake's fishing and boating opportunities.

Edgewood @ Lake Degray

We stayed at site 2 which had quite a bit of privacy from the other campers. It was on the side of a hill and some of the concrete slab was starting to break off. I wish we had a bigger slab so that we could have sit under the awning. The hill was steep so weren’t able to do that. The great part about this site is there is a trail that goes to a great fishing spot right behind it. The beach was a nice touch and was great for swimming and sunning. The playground was really nice and there are a lot of kids. This camp is family oriented and everyone was super friendly and respectful. We made some new friends. I would definitely recommend this campground.

Nice location by the water

This campground offers plenty of access to the lake with water surrounding it. Located on a small peninsula, the Edgewood campground places you right on the lakefront in a clean and peaceful setting. Plenty of sites for RVs with hookups and grills. Parking is limited but what is available is spacious. Arkadelphia isn't far away so forgotten supplies can be remedied by a trip to the local Walmart.

Quiet campground

The campsite was an almost level pull through. Near the bathrooms and showers which are heated and clean. The only bad thing is that the horse flies here were awful! I couldn’t enjoy being outside walking because they were so bad. They just kept dive bombing and stinging me and my dog as we tried to walk. We gave up and went indoors because it was awful!

Nice campground

Lots of sites to choose from in this campground some closer together than others but a nice thing if you’re camping in a group. Several pull through sites and many back in sites as well as tent only sites. RV sites have water and electricity and a dump station nearby for overnight guests. Right now during COVID you must have your reservation completed & paid for online before arrival. If you arrive after the host station closes the ranger or host will come by your site to get your reservation/confirmation number. I used the bathhouse and it is very clean and has hot showers. Lots of wildlife. We saw squirrels, deer, armadillos and chipmunks. There’s a playground (closed due to COVID) and a swimming area/beach (open when we visited). Not very far off Hwy. 7.
