Caddo Drive - De Gray Lake

Fishing and swimming enthusiasts will find direct lake access at this Corps of Engineers campground on DeGray Lake. The facility accommodates RVs up to 58 feet with electric hookups and provides a dump station for convenience. Water views define many of the sites here, with one tent loop positioned directly on the shoreline.

Site spacing varies across the campground, with RV areas notably close together according to multiple campers. Cheri H. found her site "overlooking the water" and "mostly level," requiring only minor adjustments with leveling blocks. The campground operates year-round at $20 per night, though water service shuts off during winter months.

Wildlife sightings add interest to stays here, with bald eagles frequently spotted around the lake. Walking opportunities exist throughout the area, though dedicated hiking trails are not available. The facility serves primarily boaters launching on DeGray Lake, creating a focused atmosphere around water activities. Winter visitors encounter fewer crowds and can witness snow flurries against the lake backdrop.

Basic amenities include restrooms, picnic tables, and cell service, with pets welcome throughout the campground. For additional options, campers can explore places to camp near DeGray Lake or visit the more developed state park facility down the road.

Many visitors appreciated the scenic lakefront location and clean facilities with hot showers. Site spacing emerged as a concern, particularly for RV campers who found sites too close together.

Nice quiet retreat

Beautiful site overlooking the water. Nice and spacious. Mostly level. Sloped slightly in the back but easily leveled using my Camco tri-levelers. Not many people here this time of year. No hiking trails but a nice place to walk. I got to experience a beautiful sunset every night and snow flurries my first morning here. I enjoyed it so much that after a couple nights stay in nearby Hot Springs that I returned here for one more night. I am enjoying the beauty and simplicity of this space. So grateful that it doesn’t have full hookups. Dump station on the way out. You do need to fill your fresh water tank before arrival if visiting this time of year because the water is turned off. Electric hookups only at this campground. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

Not bad - did a tent camping site

We were pretty close to the neighboring campers and could hear them up at night.

The site is really pretty and was clean - I would go again. It isn’t bad at all especially for the price.

A Gorgeous Nature Retreat!

Beautiful and Peaceful place on Degray Lake with mountains as a back drop. Lots of wildlife and very peaceful; the Bald Eagles are an extra treat.

So nice I stayed twice! COE campground

Nice clean Army Corps of Engineers site. Beautiful location on a peninsula that overlooks the lake. Swimming/beach area away from the campground. Two campgrounds, one for tents only and one for RVs. Bathhouses with hot showers. Rustic but clean. Convenient to Hwy 7 and not far from Hot Springs, Arkansas or Caddo Valley, Arkansas.

Not too enticing

The tents-only loops are not bad although the bathrooms are small. One loop for tents is on the water. Apart from that, the campground needs improvement. RV sites are much too close together and many of the parking pads and picnic tables are haphazardly placed. This COE campground seems to mostly be used by those with a boat to launch. DeGray Lake State Park down the road is better built and cared for, in terms of camping appeal.
