Nice location but close together and with an angry long term resident
We frequently go to places that are off grid so part of not loving how close the sites were was part of it but we did feel really close together. So close that we could watch our neighbors movie blasting on their loud speaker and our neighbor kicked a soccer ball and hit our trailer a few times.
Dogs are allowed but don’t seem all that welcomed. A lot of dogs were barking through the campground which I honestly don’t care about but our dog was minimally barking for a short period of time. As we were calming him down, one of the long term residents started yelling and hollering for all of the dogs to shut up. He was yelling so bad that the other nearby campers wanted to move spots. Shortly after that, the camp manager came and started yelling at us because our dog barked briefly. There were many other dogs (including our neighbors) that were barking non stop all day and they didn’t seem to get a slap on the wrist.
This one bad experience made us feel unwelcomed but the grounds were well maintained and it did have all of the amenities needed. The service in the general store was very nice and pleasant but it sucks to feel not welcomed at a place you are giving money at to stay when you feel like you’re being as respectful to the rules as you can be.
If it hadn’t been for that one experience, I would’ve liked this place better but because of that, I would not return. The behavior of this long term resident (in the area of site 67) was really uncalled for and not acceptable. To see management on his side though he was acting irrationally was unsettling.
