Rain Spirit RV Resort

Quiet nights and open sightlines toward Tuzigoot National Monument define the experience at Rain Spirit RV Resort, a gravel-and-paver park sitting between historic Cottonwood and Clarkdale in Arizona's Verde Valley. Sites are level, average in size, and spaced close enough together that neighbors are noticeable, though multiple reviewers report little road noise after dark despite the property's position along the main road. No tent camping is permitted. The park accommodates rigs up to 62 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer at each site.

Facilities are a consistent talking point. Restrooms and showers are private units, and Trena G. sums up what several visitors echo: "Super clean, everything works, nice and quiet." The property also includes a pool, sauna, laundry, and a recreation room. Open fires and charcoal grills are not allowed, so plan accordingly. Trees on site are small and provide minimal shade. The park has a notable list of rules, so reading them before arrival is worth the time.

The surrounding area gives campers a practical base for day trips. Jerome, the historic mining town built into the mountainside, is roughly five miles out, and Sedona is about 20 miles away. Dead Horse Ranch State Park Campground is a short drive southeast for those who want a state park alternative nearby. Cottonwood's restaurants and wineries are close. Reservations are available and worth making in advance, particularly for winter and spring visits when the Verde Valley draws steady traffic.

Nice RV Park

Great RV park but lots of rules., nothing that bothered us but understand them before you get here. Super clean, everything works, nice and quiet. Plenty of room. We’ve been here in January and in May and stayed in the same spot.

Great, quiet spot

This RV park is just between cottonwood and Clarkdale, a little off the beaten path, which makes it very quiet while still easy to get to everything. Overlooks beautiful public land. Showers are super clean. Would definitely come back here again!

Great location for exploring the area

Newer RV Park in Clarkdale, AZ. It is located right on the main road for easy access, but we did not hear road noise st night. Amazing views of Tuzigoot National Monument and the surrounding mountains, especially from the sites at the rear and west side of the park. 63 RV sites, no tent camping allowed. Sites are average size, level, gravel, with paver patios. Restrooms/showers are private, very large and clean. They have a pool, sauna, and rec/game room. No fires or charcoal grills allowed. Some sites have tables. There are trees, but they are very small. Rain Spirit is located between historic Cottonwood and Clarkdale, about 5 miles from Jerome, and 20 miles from Sedona. Great restaurants, wineries and shops in Cottonwood are close by.
