Military personnel and veterans seeking a small-scale camping experience will find Camp Navajo/Pine View RV Park operates exclusively for active duty, retired, and 100% disabled veterans. This gravel-site facility sits in Bellemont on a first-come, first-serve basis, accommodating a limited number of RVs at any given time.
The campground provides water and electric hookups at mostly level sites, with a dump station positioned at the top of the hill. A camp host maintains the property and assists guests with questions. Rates run $20 per night with additional fees of $5 for dump station use and $5 for trash service per stay. Train traffic passes through the area at all hours, creating consistent noise throughout the day and night.
Facilities include restrooms, showers, and laundry equipment, though the laundry area shows its age according to recent visitors. Nickie F. describes the bathhouse as "by far one of the cleanest places we've been" with a spotless interior that "feels like being @ home."
The location provides access to dispersed camping options, including Lava Tube Cave Path on Forest Road 171 and FR 222 Dispersed. For those seeking additional amenities, Woody Mountain Campground & RV Park offers full-service camping nearby. Military families appreciate the secure, well-maintained environment for short-term stays.
