Military personnel and veterans can access water and electric hookups at this small campground restricted to active duty, retired, and 100% disabled veterans. The facility operates on a first-come, first-serve basis from April through November, with gravel sites that reviewers describe as mostly level.
Camp Navajo maintains notably clean facilities according to multiple visitors. Nickie F. reports "by far one of the cleanest places we've been" with a bathhouse that "feels like being @ home." The shower and restroom facilities receive consistent praise for their cleanliness and functionality, though the laundry area could use updates according to some campers.
Sites include water and electric connections, with a dump station located at the top of the hill. Current rates run $20 per night plus additional fees of $5 for dumping and $5 for trash per stay. Camp hosts provide helpful service and maintain the quiet atmosphere that draws repeat visitors. However, campers should expect train noise at all hours due to the location's proximity to active rail lines.
The campground's small size and military-only access create a more intimate setting than typical RV parks. For those exploring the broader area, campgrounds around Bellemont provide additional options for extended stays in northern Arizona.
