Best Cabin Camping near Litchfield Park, AZ

Several cabin accommodations surround Litchfield Park, Arizona with varying amenity levels and comfort features. Destiny Phoenix RV Resorts in Goodyear offers cabin rentals with full utilities including air conditioning, while Pleasant Harbor RV Resort provides lakeside cabins with access to Lake Pleasant. Most cabin options include basic furnishings with beds, tables, and chairs, though kitchen facilities vary significantly between properties. The cabins at Leaf Verde RV Resort feature private bathrooms and small kitchenettes with refrigerators and microwaves. Electricity is standard in all cabin rentals, with most offering heating and cooling systems for year-round comfort. "Very clean and quiet RV park. The park sells propane onsite which was very convenient," notes a visitor about one of the resort properties.

Rustic and deluxe cabins are both available, depending on the location. The Mesa-Apache Junction KOA offers traditional KOA-style log cabins with varying floor plans suitable for couples or families. Pet policies differ between properties - Destiny Phoenix and Pleasant Harbor welcome pets in their cabin accommodations, while others maintain pet-free environments to accommodate guests with allergies. Most cabin rentals require advance reservations, especially during peak winter months when snowbirds populate the Phoenix area. Shangri La Ranch maintains year-round cabin availability with higher rates during winter. A review mentioned that Destiny Phoenix has "good hookups and space between neighbors," which applies to their cabin areas as well.

Most cabins include beds but require visitors to bring their own linens, towels, and toiletries. Kitchen provisions vary widely - some cabins offer only minimal refrigeration and microwave access while others include stovetops and basic cookware. Nearby supermarkets in Goodyear and Buckeye provide groceries and supplies for cabin guests. Leaf Verde and Destiny Phoenix maintain small on-site stores with essential items, though hours may be limited. When cooking outdoors, note that fire restrictions often apply during summer months due to wildfire concerns. Basic cleaning supplies are typically provided, but specialty items should be brought from home.

    Mesa-Apache Junction KOA

All the features of a hotel

This KOA had some really awesome features and gives you most of the convenience of a hotel with the ability to bring your RV and your personal items with you without the hotel price tag. The KOA features a year round heated pool and jacuzzi. The pool area was fenced and had some chairs, tables, and what appeared to be covered grills. The pool is right outside the office building which also has bathrooms and a small convenience store. If they don't have what you are looking for the is a major grocery store about 2 miles away. This KOA is in town. Don't come here if you're looking for a remote destination. The other side of the exterior fence has houses and businesses.

Each site has a picnic table and some had a stand up bbq pit. The spaces are really close together and separated by a row of rocks. Up front they have 4 little single room cabins that say there can sleep 6 but have no bathrooms. There are some upgraded RV spaces that have outside grill areas with sinks and counter space.

The spaces have very little shade if any! Be very aware of the weather when you visit. It'll be hot during the day and very cold at night depending on the time of year. You will be randomly assigned a space unless you pay the fee to have an assigned space.

The KOA features a small fenced playground with a tetherball, swing set, merry go round, and a table with an umbrella. On the other side of the KOA there is a small fenced dog run. I also saw a stand alone sink near one of the loops. There is an activity center if you're hosting a group event. It had a few standing bbq pits outside. At the entrance was an air pump for filling tires.

Great value as a TT member

We stayed at this property from 12/28/2020 - 01/11/2020.  This was our first experience with a TT/Encore property.  The RV site we were assigned has a rock pad, was moderately spacious, level, in full sun, and a fire ring or picnic table was not provided.  There was a pool, hot tub, lodge, pickleball, mini golf, shuffleboard, dog park, laundry and a fitness center on the grounds.  The nearest grocery store was within 5 miles as well.

    Destiny Phoenix RV Resorts

    Good place - Quiet

Convenient to SE Phoenix area. Far enough from the freeway to be quiet. An oasis surrounded by fields. Clean restrooms, pools, grounds, roads, sites. Nice folks working there. Refundable $20 deposit to get bathroom key. Did not use laundry. Stayed 3 nights. Very open, but a tree between each rig. Not much shade. Full hookups but no CATV. $73 per night. I will. Stay here again when I’m in the area.

    Clean

Large clean spots. All spots are fenced descent pool and small store if you need anything. We stayed in the loop near the entrance. Quite loud with all the cars coming and going. Marina for boat rentals with a shuttle to take you back and forth. Strong WiFi. Kids were able to zoom without any issues.

    Carefree Manor

Was a beautiful and comfortable place to stay

We stayed in the cabin and it was beautiful! There are parks or playgrounds for the little ones, the area was peaceful and clean, the cabins are clean and affordable, and it had the perfect amount of woods & wildlife. A family of dear would come to our cabin and graze each morning as I sat on my cabin porch with a cup of coffee. The staff is respectful and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay.

    Pleasant Harbor RV Resort

    Disappointed

Well we stayed here for two nights and frankly I wasn’t very impressed. The Campground is really only for permanent residents, everyone else ends up in a dirt lot essentially. Nearest bathrooms were a bit of a hike, so were all amenities. We paid for water and electric. The noise level was crazy... especially as we have a pop-up. I guess they don’t really enforce quiet hours. We got in late and finding our campsite was hard in the dark if you’ve never been there before. Lots of bugs at night. Honestly you pay $50 a night just to be by a lake and for me it wasn’t worth it 🤷‍♀️.

    Great Desert Oasis

We loved this park in the Arizona Desert.  Close to everything, yet set up to feel like you're in your own little village.  The amenities at this park are outstanding and the neighbors are super friendly.  Sites are decent size!  We loved the three pools, multiple hot tubs and modern showers and laundry rooms.  This park can be hard to get into because of its popularity.  Highly recommended!  Check out our video of this great RV report on Youtube at:  https://youtu.be/gDr1Z9NGhr8

    Mesa Gardens RV Park

    May 2025

Great campground centerally located to Phoenix and Scottsdale. Was only planning to stay 2 nights but ended up extending my stay. Full hookups and laundry/showers in house. Also have a cute patio area to hangout as well as a clubhouse with WIFI. RV park backs up to a park with a coded gate so easy access to playground/big grass area for dogs. Park is fully fenced with gate. Very clean and well kept.

I booked online at like 4:30ish (their office closes at 5). The gate codes for entry and club house were in the confirmation email as well as the manager called me at like 5 til to confirm I had codes and everything I needed to get it - so appreciated! Manager was also very friendly also when I asked for recs and about extending my stay. Have weekly and monthly rates on top of nightly ones. Would come back.

    Get curb parked for $27

We stayed here 2 weeks when we were new Thousand Trails members (it came with the RV), but since we showed up the first night at sunset, we were curb-parked that night.. Which is when one of the very lovely security staff there let us know that it's less expensive (for non‐TT members) to get one of those curb spots (with electric, & close access to showers, pool, laundry) than to get a regular spot. So this time, having let TT expire, we tried this out- no reservation (I did call ahead, but indeed, curb spots are unreserved), just show up at dusk or later, and this very nice, truly chill but soo ginormous resort let us park right in the front/middle for the night. And swim. And do laundry. They put cones around us, and said we could put out our slide-out! Checkout's at 11. There's a Jack-in-the-Box .4 miles from where they park ya. We plan to use this again!
