Neat community vibe, off the beaten track, re-inventing community!

Gorgeous place, beautiful landscape (awesome sunsets and sunrises), very welcoming hosts and a real sense of community.

This is NOT your ordinary campground.

Some sites with electrical hookups...

less expensive... quieter...

Not far from the petrified forest.

Short dirt road travel off I-40.

Super close to petrified forest!

A little hard to find but Janet was so helpful! There’s a shower and a communal cooking space and tons of options for camping. There’s not really designated camp spots, so pretty bare bones, but you can’t beat the price.

Thank you so much! Hope you enjoyed your visit to the Petrified National Forest! Great little van! Safe Travels!

Not what we had thought …

We actually didn’t stay as it just felt uncomfortable. Unfortunately Janet was not there and while we spoke on the phone, the person who was to greet us was not there. No signage at all which would have been helpful. The area is somewhat unkempt - the few rigs there were in rough shape and looked as though they had been there for a while. Sites were not obvious. An old wrecked car is near the site. We were just kind of creeped out so didn’t stay.

Unfortunately is right, I wish I had been there to greet you. The broken car was suppose to be picked up by the veterans association but we are so far out, it has taken time. There were 2 older rigs on property when you came. One was "The Flag Van". A missionary traveling the USA who had a stroke and needed a place to stay for doctors and recovery. We do help people here. We are here to help people physically, mentally, spiritually, financially and socially. We take pride in doing that regardless of their financial situation. Hopefully you will give us another chance during the day and meet some of these wonderful people. You will be very comfortable in the presence of LOVE!

Beautiful, simple, everything we needed

Very laid back. Nothing fancy but everything you need. Community space with kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of space to privately disperse camp among the Junipers. Spots with electric too. Janet is an amazing host.

Awesome place!

For our first place ever, this is a really great place. Janet was awesome and the places off grid, but only 5 minutes from the interstate. She was very helpful and we love it. Our dog also loves all the free reigns running. He can do, thank you, Janet for an awesome day.

Super awesome Vibe

We just got here and it's amazing and semi offgrid but really close to highway. Janet is amazing and an awesome friendly host. This is our first actual camp site as we were running propane from VA to CA AND VISE VERSA.

Luna Gia

4 travelers, SUV, Ram Van, minivan pulling a 6x12 and one very big 5th wheel. All self contained. No problem in. No problem finding a spot with enough space for all 4.

Yes development is somewhat primitive but it is a work in progress.

Based on my view couldn't find a better spot in the area.

Rustic and quiet.

Janet is developing the area so it’s not perfect yet but her hospitality more than makes up for it. The location is great for visiting the painted desert and petrified forest parks. There is little to choose from in this area and the price made it perfect for us. A bit of dirt road to get there but this is the Dyrt, right?  I would stay there again.

Thank you so much for honest review! Look forward to seeing you again and your comments on the updated amenities! (especially the roads, lol) Will be working this week on updated signage, solar lighting and designated spots that are easier to navigate with the beautiful big rigs!

We are looking to put in fire ring and picnic table at each site!

Our first stay at this LunaGaia

We came at night and was not easy to navigate. Once we were led in, had a nice, peaceful, quiet stay. Very nice host, Janet, and another guest. This location is primarily for small vehicles, tent, camping, van camping. At this time nothing much larger than 30 feet. All in all a good night and a great view.

Thank you so much! Yes we have many improvements to roads and sites to ensure ease and navigation of the larger rigs! Looking forward to serving you again!

Absolutely AMAZING

Janet was super nice and easy going. The property was beautiful and she let us drive through the property and camp anywhere we wanted. We ended up putting our pop up in a field surrounded by small trees and building a small fire pit. Super private, $10 was a steal and we couldn’t have found a better spot around the Petrified Forest! Thanks Janet, you rock!

Peaceful Stay

We stayed for a night on our way East. The property is beautiful but it definitely needs a lot of work. The roads getting there are rough and I wouldn't dare attempt in the rain. If you want something different than your typical RV park this place might be good for you!

Wonderful and remote.

Janet is a gem and there's plenty of room to roam. Beautiful stars and sunsets. Just fill your water tank before you get here, no water on site for RVs.

A Diamond in the rough

Janet was so wonderful and welcoming.  She is in the process of getting this property set up and could certainly use some help.  It is a beautiful spot just a short drive from the highway.  We had a 30amp hook up on a level site.  We could get our Verizon signal.  There is a second site with electric but it is not level or actually a site.  I think this would be a great place for anyone boondocking, tenting or RV 30 amp. Give it a try if you are in the area.
