Oleander bushes screen individual campsites along paved roads at this National Park Service campground on the south end of Lake Mohave. The layout spreads across both sides of the main road, with approximately 30-40 sites ranging from spacious to compact. Most sites feature concrete picnic tables and fire rings with cooking grills.
The marina sits within a ten-minute walk, providing boat rentals, a restaurant, camp store, and fish cleaning station. Hiking trails wind around the lake area below the campground. Flush toilets, hot showers, and a small laundry facility serve campers, while drinking water spigots are distributed throughout. Cell service reaches the campground reliably, and WiFi access is available through the concessioner.
Sites operate on both first-come-first-served and reservation systems, with basic sites at $24 per night ($12 with senior pass). "Sites were pretty spacious with Oleander bushes providing some screening," notes Mark J.. Security patrols make regular rounds during overnight hours. The campground prohibits pets and allows alcohol within sites.
Summer temperatures regularly exceed 110°F during the day, though nights cool enough for comfortable sleeping. The 30-day stay limit and year-round operation make this a viable base for extended Lake Mohave exploration.
