Campers regularly found level pullout spots along the well-maintained forest road, though the area gets very crowded during peak times. Good cell reception and respectful fellow campers were commonly mentioned positives.

Beautiful in the Ponderosa Pines

There are a lot of pullouts along this forest road. There are also lots and lots of campers. It’s very quiet and everyone was respectful of space. It’s a great place to stop when visiting Williams, Flagstaff, and Grand Canyon. Dirt road is in good shape. It is very dry and fire danger sign said high so no camp fires burning this week.

Boondocking

Boondocking off a forest rd. There are a number of camping spots off a forest rd. Most are level. Good cell reception. There's a lake that has a nice trail and campground.

Beautiful but busy

We went on Labor Day weekend so take that into account. It was so packed that on Thursday we found a spot but had to fend off people trying to park next to us constantly. Found a hidden spot with more grass and a meadow view and ended up relocating there due to the rain/muddy grounds at the first spot. Cows daily and sheep roaming though… so cute! But bring something for mosquitoes! Verizon had 2 bars and LTE but couldn’t text or get online- could only make phone calls. No trash dumpsters anywhere between the camp and Williams
