Beautiful but limited spots

If you're traveling mini, you'll find space but RVs will have to fight for it. ATVs run all day but the sunset and lake views were gorgeous and temp at this elevation was perfect.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Coleman Lake Campground located in Arizona?

Coleman Lake Camp is located near Williams, Arizona, nestled at a higher elevation that offers cooler temperatures than the surrounding lower desert areas. The campground sits alongside Coleman Lake, providing beautiful lake views and serving as a natural retreat in the northern Arizona region. Its elevated position makes it a popular destination for those looking to escape summer heat while enjoying the natural beauty of Arizona's high country.

What amenities are available at Coleman Lake Campground?

Coleman Lake Campground offers basic camping amenities with lakeside camping sites that accommodate smaller vehicles and tents more easily than large RVs. The campground features scenic lake views and is situated at a higher elevation that provides cooler temperatures. Limited space is available for larger recreational vehicles, so early arrival is recommended for RV campers. The campground doesn't offer extensive developed facilities, focusing instead on a more natural camping experience. Visitors should come prepared with their own supplies and water.

What recreational activities can visitors enjoy at Coleman Lake?

Visitors to Coleman Lake can enjoy spectacular sunset views over the water, making photography and evening relaxation popular activities. The lake provides opportunities for fishing and shoreline exploration. ATV riding is common in the area, with trails accessible from the campground. The higher elevation creates comfortable temperatures for hiking and outdoor recreation, particularly during summer months when lower elevations are too hot. The natural setting is ideal for wildlife watching and stargazing in the evenings.

How does Coleman Lake Campground compare to Bill Williams Campground?

Coleman Lake Campground differs from Bill Williams Campground primarily in its lake access and terrain. Coleman Lake offers waterfront views and lakeside camping, while Bill Williams is more forest-focused. Coleman Lake tends to be busier with ATV enthusiasts throughout the day, creating a more active atmosphere. Space at Coleman Lake is more limited for larger RVs compared to Bill Williams. Both campgrounds benefit from the higher elevations near Williams, providing cooler temperatures, but Coleman Lake specifically offers sunset views over water that aren't available at Bill Williams.
