Description
Coconino National Forest opens up here into a broad, heavily forested plateau at roughly 7,400 feet elevation, where a network of side roads branches off Forest Road 222 and FR 171 to reveal multiple dispersed sites along the edge of a wide open meadow. Most sites come with fire rings and eastward meadow views, and the tree canopy is open enough in spots to catch solar. Summer temperatures at this elevation run cool and mild.
