Dust Bowl Along the Colorado River

I 👍agree with the 2 star review but less. The bathrooms are a joke! The UTV trails are mostly all large rocks and very few trails are even there. So I hope you like the same scenery day after day. The noise from the jet boats and other obnoxious vehicles on the river start at dawn. Like getting woken up like that? Then this is your nirvana. You won't ever get use to the dust blowing here either 🤧. Put on your happy face each time you deal with the office worker or... well, you will find out. No internet even though it is advertised! Cell service is also crap unless you climb the hills and find a spot where you can get reception but don't dare move or the call will drop. They are slowly trying to push out the RV people to build overpriced stationary buildings called tiny houses. They are a joke and not worth the money. No TV unless you call the cable company to come and put in a modem and that service will drop you off the internet repeatedly. So good luck there too. So many other better places to chose from in the area.

I gave this two stars because someone likes it.

Popularity must be worth something. If you're drunk enough to ignore the filth of the bathrooms and the lack of any amenities, this is the place for you. The setting is pretty but there are plenty of other sites along the Colorado River between Blythe and lake Havasu City that I see no reason to ever return.

Photos of Castle Rock Shores showcase its riverside setting along the Colorado River, which is the primary attraction of the campground. The facilities appear basic and rustic with minimal development. Images likely show the campground's bathroom structures, which are in poor condition. The surrounding landscape features a mix of desert terrain and rocky areas used for UTV trails. The river views can be scenic, though the campground itself has a utilitarian appearance rather than resort-style amenities.

Are there riverfront camping spots available at Castle Rock Shores?

Yes, Castle Rock Shores offers riverfront camping spots along the Colorado River. These sites provide direct access to the water, which is a primary draw for visitors. The riverfront location makes it popular for boating and water activities, though noise from jet boats and water vehicles can be significant, especially starting early in the morning.
