La Paz County Park

La Paz County Park operates as a county-managed campground along the Colorado River, drawing a steady mix of seasonal visitors and long-term winter residents. The facility accommodates RVs up to 50 feet with full hookups, though Josh F. notes that sites "have water and electric, but no sewer" at some locations. Pull-through sites run fairly long but offer little privacy between neighbors.

River access serves as the park's primary draw, with multiple boat launches and swimming areas available to campers. Several waterfront sites feature covered picnic tables, providing shade in an otherwise exposed setting. The on-site restaurant, Pirates Den, eliminates meal planning concerns, while adjacent private RV resorts offer additional dining and entertainment options within walking distance. Three designated dog areas give pet owners space to exercise their animals.

Winter months see the heaviest use, with Friday and Saturday nights typically booking solid during swap meet events. Cell service proves inconsistent across the property, with some sites receiving no signal at all. The facility maintains basic restroom and shower buildings, though only three of the multiple bathroom facilities include shower access. "Mostly snowbirds who looked settled in for the winter," describes the typical winter demographic, suggesting a social atmosphere among longer-term guests.

For additional camping options in the area, consider Pirates Den RV Resort & Marina or BLM Empire Landing nearby. Book ahead for winter weekends when events draw larger crowds.

Campers regularly cited good value pricing and clean facilities as key strengths. Some concerns about site spacing and connectivity, but river access and on-site amenities are popular features.

Great Park along the river

Stopped here for an overnight. Mostly snowbirds who looked settled in for the winter. A few sites along the river with cabanas. Sites have water and electric, but no sewer. A little cramped and not private at all, but are pretty long for pull throughs. There are private RV parks on both sides of it that have restaurant/bars on the water that you can walk to which is a great feature. Great location.

Only gave it 4 stars not 5 because it has "government park" qualities, but is a great place for the price.

Lots of amenities

Looks like this is a rv park with a healthy social club and lota if activities. RVs park a bit too close for us and it is a dusty place. No cell service at all at our site.

I like it here but..

Take a picture of your electric meter when you arrive because Oct 2022, they charged me for the previous persons electric and the same thing just happened to my sister March 2023. It looks like new ownership and not enough employees. The bathroom/shower needed attention in bldg 11. The bathrooms for the casitas at this park, we had been staying at previously, were very clean. Very nice employees.

Very nice $30 full hookup. Dry camping also available. Usually booked Fri and Sat in winter as big swap meet there. River access, restaurant on premises, not too far from Parker AZ. Marked down because of water . 3 dog parks on site, showers

Sitelagoon g. right on the river, small! but I have a very small van.

Nice park by the Colorado River

Price was good, only 27.00 for electric/water. Only 3 of the many bathrooms had showers. Shower was hot & free. Nice staff. Places to swim & boat ramp. Beautiful trees & green lawns. Neighbor stated that the water wasn’t good, but I didn’t see any evidence of that. There is a bar & restaurant right next door. Great for big rigs & tents.

Beautiful river view

We loved this place! It has both tent and RV spaces, you can even get power and water at tent spaces. It has bathroom/shower facilities. There is a restaurant called Pirates Den on site. It has 2 boat launches and plenty of parking. I recommend tenting early spring and late fall, it gets really hot in the summer.

Parker Tube River Float

Stayed her two years for the Parker Tube River Float. Not much shade for tent camping but if you can get one by the water they have coverings over the tables. Bathrooms and showers were clean. You can buy ice there which is great too.
