We took our kids for the first time and it was a great trip! I’ve always lived Oak Mountain so I for sure go back as often as I can. We stayed on 42B which was an AMAZING site. My favorite one so far. There was a lot of traffic just because that was the way to get to the campground beach, but it…

We are staying for Memorial Day weekend. It’s our first time here and it’s really not that bad! Easier to navigate in my opinion that others say. Staff is really nice and welcoming. The sites are a little tighter than most places. Especially in the RV section. We are tent camping and have plenty of…

Nice place. Quiet park with some highway noise. Didn't use any amenities. Don't think there's much. Cable. We would return with kayaks and enjoy the lake.
It was a good camping trip and the camp grounds were really nice and clean
There is so much to do and see here at the park. For your stay, there is camping, cabins, chalets, and a lodge for accommodations. There is mountain biking and hiking trails, along with a lake to swim, fish and paddle in; and a pool if you are a overnight visitor. There is a camp store onsite…

It's mostly for Pull Alongs, 5th Wheelers & RV's, no spots for a Tent trees far away but not too far. On the outskirts of a parking lot of a stadium!
So I've only camped here in a Tent & RV. There are nice Bathhouses that include Toilets, Urinals, Sinks, Stand-Up Showers & Lights! There is also WiFi and a small beach. And Cabins that are not in the campground area you can camp Primitive campsites, one's with power & water hookups…
I have stayed there 2 times with grands. Cell/Wifi is non existent. Some parents do not supervise their children. Host and manager are good and try to stay on top of things. They are very responsive
Very well maintained RV park. Store and gas station on site
Beautiful park and very well kept. If you can’t find something to do here you aren’t looking. Mountain Biking, road biking and very well payed out lanes. Tents, cabins, pull thoughts for classA’s. Just a beautiful park!!
Our first time to visit this campground. We stayed in E10. Flat level parking pad for our van. E8-12 are not even enough for tents but good for small campers. Each site has a fire ring, table, water, electric on the lower levels E and C. The upper levels A-D have full hookups with sewer. Bathhouses…

This site is another of the small backcountry sites along the river between Cheaha Falls and Lake Chinnabee. Make sure to check out my review of Cheaha Falls Campground where I discuss the entire loop and the best times of year to visit. Although this campground isn’t as nice as others in the area…

We stayed overnight on our way north. We are very experienced Wild campers and this site did not disappoint. East to get to and easy to get out. Quiet and secluded. If you like camping, you’ll love this place.
Made a weekend trip to Rickwood Caverns and it was nice. There’s not much going on other than the cavern tour which is pretty good. It’s about an hour and a half start to finish with a fair amount of walking. They give a small discount to campers but it was still $47 for a family of 4 (12 and up…
Really enjoyed the group camp site. Very spacious with a huge fire pit. Easy walking distance to bathhouse. Great hiking as well. Day use area was closed due to pandemic.
