Within Talladega National Forest, this US Forest Service backcountry site sits along the river between Cheaha Falls and Lake Chinnabee. Hikers access the small, private campground via the Skyway Loop trail system, finding space for one or two tents, a fire ring, and flowing water nearby. The site serves as an overflow option when other backcountry spots fill during busy spring and fall weekends, with easy trail access to area waterfalls. Late spring through early summer offers the best conditions for swimming and wildflower viewing, though summer heat and humidity can become intense. Chinnabee Silent Trail Backcountry Site 9 provides another nearby option for backpackers exploring the loop.
