    Prairie Creek Campground is situated beneath moss-draped oaks on the banks of Woodruff Lake. The lake is part of the scenic Alabama River in the region's Black Prairie Belt. For sportsmen, the campground offers a wonderful opportunity to relax between fishing and hunting trips. Water sports and hiking are also popular activities.

    Woodruff Lake offers excellent fishing for bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish. Boating, jet skiing and other water sports are big draws to the lake, and a boat ramp is provided for easy water access. The Lowndes Wildlife Management area, located nearby, covers 12,500 acres and provides prime hunting for whitetail deer, wild turkey, hogs and a variety of small game and waterfowl.

    This waterfront campground offers 55 family RV sites and seven tent-only sites, all with electric hookups. Amenities include flush toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station and laundry facilities.     Roland Cooper State Park is a beautiful, peaceful campground on the Alabama River in Southwest Alabama. It has 55 RV sites, 15 primitive sites, 12 fully furnished cabins, 2 primitive cabins run from a generator (between hours 6 am-12 pm) a pavilion, boat launch, and Day Use Area. All RV sites have water, electricity, and sewer. The river is well-known for the great fishing. It is also a great place to kayak and canoe. The roads leading to the campground are paved and all sites are level and on a paved pad. Each campsite has a fire pit and a picnic table. There are 4 bathrooms, all are heated, 2 bathrooms have showers with hot water and flush toilets. A dump station is located in the campground at no charge to those who are camping. There are two hiking and biking trails within the campground.

    All RV sites come with full hookup, which includes water, electricity, and sewer. All campsites have a paved level pad, and a fire ring with grill top. Activities include, but are not limited to, basketball, fishing, picknicking, volleyball, and corn hole, which are free to all campers.
