Great little campground off I-65

Ultra clean Good Sam campground located just off I-65. Staff was wonderful and engaging. Expect a former Marine to escort you to your site, rain or shine. It was pouring buckets when we arrived and he insisted on taking us literally across the street from the camp store to ensure we had everything we needed.

All lots appeared to be pull thru and level. Due to rain, we kept our Airstream connected to the truck and just connected water and electricity. Leveling was minimal (fore/aft) with no need for blocks or boards.

Recommend staying in sites closer to camp store, as they are farthest from interstate. We barely heard it from site 2.

Laundry room was clean and available to wash/dry lots of towels due to rain and wet dog. Water pressure in campground is 80 psi.

Large fenced dog park at north end and plenty of green space for walking your puppy. Just be aware there are rabbits all over the place.

Propane is available on site and the camp store has a little bit of everything. And there’s a Love’s truck stop at the exit as well.

Great spot for an overnight stay on your trip. You won’t find a nicer staff or a cleaner campground!a

Very nice and quiet

Right off of 65, this was a perfect place for an overnight. All the spots are pull through, gravel, and full hookup. Easy in and out. Very quiet campground despite being able to see the interstate.

Great Little Campground

I stayed here for 8 weeks while travel nursing at a local hospital. I had previously moved from another campground I did not feel safe at. Boy was this place a breath of fresh air! The staff was very nice and accommodating! They patrolled the grounds on golf carts frequently. There are only two single serve bathrooms with showers on site, but they were well maintained and also had heat lamps for the wintertime. The laundry room was small with only two slightly dated washers and dryers, but they got the job done. You just had to time it to get in the queue. Each site had a picnic table, but sadly not all of them had fire pit rings. Mine was one that did not. All of the sites were gravel paved, but they were very level. The staff works hard to upkeep the sites by delivering fresh gravel to sites with a tractor when campers leave. The staff was very kind to come by and warn us when we were expecting freezing temps to help prevent our pipes from freezing. They even carried my trash bag up to the dumpster once on their golf cart so I wouldn’t have to! My biggest complaint here was the spotty WiFi, but that’s to be expected at most parks. This park is right up the street from Alabama Safari Park, and there are a few restaurants up the road near the interstate. Overall, I highly recommend this park! Loved staying here, and would definitely return again! It’s a quick hop on the interstate to get to Montgomery or Prattville.

Fine for a quick overnight

This campsite is right off the interstate just south of Montgomery so it makes for a super convenient and easy stop overnight. The sites are close to level and are all (I think) pull throughs. They have the amenities needed and the grounds are well kept and it seems like they are still developing.

There’s nothing special about this stop except the convenience and fantastic customer service. We made our reservation last minute because of storms and Deborah was so kind and accommodating.

As this is right off the interstate you get the convenience of a truck stop for gas etc right there. But you also get a little interstate noise - didn’t bother us a bit. But there is also a train that runs nearby that I heard a few times.

All in all, a great spot for an overnight but not a destination.

Tip for travelers with kids: If you are trying to burn time with kids, the safari park is nearby and was a great way to burn some energy.

Quick Overnight off highway

Staff is wonderful, campstore is well stocked. Sites are all full hookup pull through. Restrooms smelled like Men's showerhouses and laundry facility was dirty. The ice machine was in with the laundry room and seemed unsanitary/locked. There were at least 16 permanent travel trailers that were run down and made us feel unsafe/uncomfortable at times.

If you travel through this area be sure to stop by Priester's Pecans. They have an amazing store and factory!

This place was so nice and clean all sites were pull thru which was amazing for coming in after dark and it was storming. This is a family run operation and they do a great job. Showers were top notch!
