Important park information: Seminoe Reservoir is facing low water levels due to drought and below-average snowpack in the Upper North Platte Basin. There's still plenty of water for recreation, and the North Red Hills boat ramp is still open for business! Check water levels here for your information. Seminoe will experience water system interruptions for the rest of the camping season. Please bring water in your camper tanks, as water will be limited during water system upgrades. The dump station will remain open, but construction may affect the timing of use.

Beautiful but off beaten path

Very beautiful state campground with many very clean vault toilets with urinals, dump station, drinking and non-potable water, garbage receptacles, and several boat launches. Good space between sites and there are both electric and non-electric with or without water. Some sites, mine, a little un level and most in full sun. Get RN27 or 28 and great shade! Only negative is it is almost an hour drive on a poorly paved road but apparently the drive north toward Casper is even more beautiful so if you're in the area I do recommend this state park campground for a night or two for about $40 a night for non-residents.

Totally awesome

We boondocked in the South unit. Even though the lake level was low we saw lots of shore and aquatic birds. We had site nnumber 2 which is very secluded with expansive views of the lake, the shore, and the distant mountains. The night sky was breathtaking with clear viewing of Jupiter, Saturn, and their moons.

Crystal Blue Lake

This is a great place if you like fishing, swimming, and hiking! It is hot and dry, and gets windy every afternoon in the summer, but after finding this last year I will be returning. Not much shade or trees, so make sure you bring protection!
